Namaste 🙏

Hope you’re doing great!

Continuing our journey and spending the night inside of this luxurious train the next morning we reached Ayodhya city at around 7:00 AM in the morning. It’s a special train by IRCTC and therefore there are dedicated platforms for this train to de board and there are dedicated people who are there to guide and help every with everything.

Our plan for the day was to explore the holy city of Ayodhya all day and come back to the train by evening to continue our journey and reach the next city the next day. It was day-2 of our journey as on day-1 we onboarded the train from Safdarjung in Delhi.

IMG_9062.jpeg

We had to walk through the platform to reach the main reception area of the railway station in Ayodhya Cantt. It was a short 5 min walk. We didn’t had to carry our luggage as it was secured inside of our train coach and there were security guards and cameras with 24x7 coverage so we didn’t had to worry about anything.

IMG_9064.jpeg

It was a pleasant morning in Ayodhya city. The city had a very holy vibe to it and we felt that right st the moment when we de boarded the train.

IMG_9065.jpeg

Right outside of the station, we could see the old temples and buildings that were symbols of the ancient times and the culture this place held within it. There was no sign of any clouds that day and we knew that it will get hot in the afternoon.

IMG_9067.jpeg

Right outside of the railway station, there were buses waiting for us to take us to our hotel room. We were provided with a hotel room just for getting fresh and change. We were not staying in the hotel, but it was just provided so that we can get ready for the places we had to visit that day.

IMG_9068.jpeg

The buses were also very good and were air condition. The hotel room was about half an hour away from the station. Breakfast was served on train only and there was plan of lunch being served in the hotel.

IMG_9069.jpeg

So there we were on the streets of Ayodhya city and we were moving very fast towards our hotel room. We had an hour for us to get ready for the places that were planned for the day. It was a short drive of about 25 to 30 minutes until we reached our hotel.

IMG_9073.jpeg

Now we are about to reach our hotel room, and I noticed that all the hotels of the city were placed in a particular area only and our hotel was also one of them.

IMG_9074.jpeg

This was our hotel, and it was really good there was a lake outside of our hotel, which we can even see from our room. We got fresh and got ready for the places we had to visit that day and now we were ready for the adventure.

IMG_9075.jpeg

Again board, the buses that we were provided earlier, the plan was that buses would drop us to the entry gate of the city as the bigger vehicles were not allowed inside of the city. They were electric rickshaws arranged for us to roam around inside of the city from where the bus would drop us.

IMG_9076.jpeg

This was a place near Dharma Chowk of Ayodhya, where we had to deboard the buses and sit on the electric rickshaws. The city was reconstructed recently and is still being made smart city. You can also notice that in the photograph that how well made the infrastructure of the city was.

IMG_9079.jpeg

Our first attraction of the day was Lata Mangeshkar Chowk of Ayodhya that was dedicated to late Shri Lata Mangeshkar ji. She renowned singer who was really worshipped by the singers as her voice was one of a kind and was really soothing.

IMG_9080.jpeg

After crossing Dharma Chowk, it was a drive of just about 15 minutes until we were about to reach this Lata Mangeshkar Chowk. They were other attractions nearby Chowk as well, one of them being Sarayu Ghat. We also had to cover that.

IMG_9081.jpeg

The roads in the infrastructure that was built in the city was remarkable. The government was doing its job very well and the ride towards the Lata Mangeshkar Chowk was really smooth.

IMG_9085.jpeg

So after 15 minutes, they we were in Lata Mangeshkar Chowk. It was a Chowk that was not really crowded, but there were people who were taking photographs right next to this huge Sitar that was built on the Chowk.

IMG_9089.jpeg

We also took some photographs for the memory right next to this Sitar, which is dedicated to Lata Mangeshkar ji. She passed away a couple years back, and that was one of the most devastating news I’ve heard that year.

IMG_9090.jpeg

My grandparents were really happy to visit this place. This place was recently built and was made famous by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his roadshow. It has now become the selfie hotspot of this city.

I’ll be telling you guys about the Saryu Ghat in the next blog. That’s all for today as of now, thank you for passing by.

Peace ☮️
