Namaste 🙏

Hope you all are doing great !!!

Today I’ll be sharing my journey to the latest tourist destination of Varanasi called Namo Ghat. It is the latest construction and modern planned ghat that is built a couple of years back.

This heart is built right below the Malviya Bridge that is the most famous bridge of Varanasi built over The Holy river of Ganga. In the photograph above, you can see the Malviya Bridge in its full glory. This bridge can host four lanes of road traffic, and two lanes of train traffic at once and is considered one of the most majestic bridges of northern India.

Once you cross from below the bridge, you entered the starting point of this world, famous ghat. The best thing about this Ghat is this. Ghat is future ready for all the endeavours that are yet to come with two Helly pads built. It can host VVIPs as well.

Our group was instructed to get on the Ghat all at once, because from this Ghat, only our main journey on the river Ganga would start and here only we would board the boats that were allotted to us.

All the people that you can see wearing the white cap are the people from my group, and all the people are old and people as compared to the normal crowd of the Ghat. All these old people were very excited to board the boat that were allotted to us to travel on the holy river Ganga and visit other Ghats of this ancient city of Varanasi.

IMG_9351.jpeg

We could already see some boards that were laying around in the Ghat. Another thing that I learnt there, while on the Ghat was that these boats they work on CNG and there was a CNG pump in the Ghat itself, and it was the first CNG pump that was built over the water.

We kept on walking on the Namo Ghat to reach to the place from where we would board our boats. This heart was really beautiful, and the main attraction of this ghar was the hands that use that were built in the Ghat that depicted the namaste sign 🙏🙏🙏.

In these photographs, you can see the hand I was talking about earlier very clearly. These hands were very big infect huge and they were the main attraction of the Ghat and people were taking pictures right next to them. This Ghat became the new selfie spot of the city after its inauguration by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2021.

Our group was huge with more than 150 people in it, and this heart was also very huge. So it was a perfect combination and perfect space for us to capture a group photograph in the photograph below. You can see all the people gathering together to capture a moment together in this group photograph.

I also captured a selfie with my grandparents as memorial of this place. This selfie came out to be very great, and I am really happy that I capture this because it’s only the memories that are to be cherished after you visit a place, and you can only feel the vibe that you felt inside of the place by looking at the memories that you captured.

IMG_9364.jpeg

This is the CNG pump. I was talking about earlier. This is the world’s first CNG pump. That’s built on the water and that is used to refill all the boats that are in the Ghat of Varanasi.

IMG_9368.jpeg

As you know that the Varanasi is the ancient city of India and is the city with a lot of Ghats all around it, so we would now go to all the Ghats in a boat and explore the city from the holy river of Ganga.

IMG_9369.jpeg

IMG_9370.jpeg

I would share my journey from the boat in the coming blogs. This is the first Ghat that I covered. In the coming blogs, I’ll be sharing the story of visiting other Ghats as all the Ghats have unique significance this Ghat is the newly built Ghat, so the ancient significance of this Ghat is not much, but this Ghat has provided a facility for the people of Varanasi.

Thanks for passing by.

Peace ☮️
