Namaste 🙏

Hope you all are doing great!

Today, I’m gonna take you guys to one of the most prominent locations in Rishikesh, that is Ram Jhula. As soon as we came near to the river Ganga, we were greeted by this beautiful Market that had all kinds of merchandise for sale. As you can see in the photographs below. There were items ranging from food items to souvenirs present there for sale.

This part of the market was quite congested and they were a lot of people roaming around there. The four wheelers were banned in this part of the area, but the two wheelers were allowed, and that was kind of making it difficult for people to walk.

There was this clear partition of iron that was for the Ghat. There was no vehicles allowed in that area and only people could go there to ensure that compliance. This iron fencing was installed there as you can see in the photograph as well.

IMG_1595.jpeg

It was a really beautiful day with clouds over us, and the people were really happy walking here in there and enjoying the vibe of the market to the fullest. We all were having fun as well and we were really excited to be on the Ram Jhula.

As we were approaching the Ram Jhula, we came across this Sahoo, who was with two monkeys around him. They were kind of his pets, and he was looking really mysterious with those monkeys, as you can also, see in the photograph below.

IMG_1597.jpeg

They were monkeys and langoor there near to the Ram Jhula, in fact, the entry point on the welcome point of the Ram Jhula, there were a couple of monkeys and languors to welcome us.

IMG_1598.jpeg

It is believed that the monkeys are the king devote of Lord Ram. That is why they are all around in this area and this belief is held accountable by the count of monkeys here in this area, you can see how sincerely these monkeys sit there without causing any harm to people and just looking at the people like they are appreciating how the people are walking over this area.

Now let me tell you guys about this beautiful and one of the most prominent landmarks of Rishikesh that is Ram Jhula. This is a suspension iron Bridge built over River Ganga. That is around 250 m across it. It is not quite wide. There are no cars allowed on this bridge.

IMG_1600.jpeg

However, some bikes and two wheelers are allowed over this bridge. As soon as we entered this bridge. This was full of people. The people were having fun and enjoying the view of the river Ganga, as you can also see in the photographs which I am sharing below.

IMG_1602.jpeg

As this was suspension bridge, so because of that there was a constant shaking and moment happening in this bridge, as soon as we were walking on it, it was kind of making us hallucinate and hypnotise.

IMG_1603.jpeg

As soon as you fix your gas in the water of river Ganga and you walk at the same time, you will surely hallucinate. There was something really unique about this bridge that the way it was shaking because of the suspension Bridge, it was experience that I’m gonna remember forever.

IMG_1605.jpeg

The views from there were also really good as you can see in the photograph below. We could see the town of Rishikesh to the fullest to the both sides, and the view from the bridge was unlike any other place in the Rishikesh.

I highly recommend everyone to visit this place whenever you are in Rishikesh, as this is one of the most prominent landmarks of the Rishikesh. I’m gonna tell you guys about more places that we visited in the next blog, that is it for today.
