Namaste šŸ™

Hope you all are doing great!!!

Spring is around the corner here in northern India and it’s the best time to explore the cities of northern India. As after a couple of months, it will be really hard to even get out of your room and do a brisk walk of even around 5 to 10 minutes as it gets too hot here in northern India at that time of the year.

Exploring the streets of Saket—

Taking advantage of the Sunday, I decided to explore the city with @pranavinaction . He was also in the city for a few days, so I decided to meet him and explore a couple of places in the city together.

He was living on the opposite side of the city from where I lived, so we decided to catch up in the middle at Saket Metro Station. I met him outside Saket Metro Station. We didn’t decide where we wanna go. We just got out randomly and thought of going with the flow. From there, we search for the best places to explore around in Saket and select city walk. Mall comes on the top of that list, so we decided to go there from the Metro Station.

We hired a rickshaw till the mall as it’s the most convenient and affordable kind of transportation medium here in India. Taking advantage of the pleasant Weather, we were enjoying the fresh air that was around us from the rickshaw.

I was meeting him after a really long time. Last time, I remembered meeting him was about a couple months ago in Himalayas notice that he has gained quite a bit of weight these days. The coincidence was there was a delivery guy passing from the side with the logo. Zomato tagged on his scooter. He told me that he’s been ordering online food from the time he’s in the city.

It was a bright sunny day and everywhere we looked we could see new life sprouting from the ground. There was a different kind of energy in the atmosphere that day.

IMG_8436.jpeg

A lot of two wheelers around us at this part of the city. I soon realised that the quantity of the two wheelers will be less in a couple months because of the hot weather. As already mentioned, this is the time of the year when the weather is most pleasant around here.

IMG_8439.jpeg

This area falls under the Southern region of NCR and there are a lot of gardens in this area and it’s considered one of the best places to live around in Delhi NCR. The mall where we were headed, also was the most luxurious and high class Mall of the city, so we were really excited to be there.

IMG_8440.jpeg

It was around 3 km from the metro station, and we covered the distance almost in about 10 minutes. Now we were about to reach and the auto driver charged ₹80 for our journey from the station to the mall. As already mentioned, this is the most affordable option that you can get as it only cost around a dollar for a couple kilometres.

Reaching Select Citywalk Mall—

Here we were given now at our destination, and we were really stoked to see the ambience of this mall. The campus of the mall was spread out in a huge area. It was not like a condensed building, but instead it was like a complex of different stores with gardens in between them.

IMG_8443.jpeg

As it’s already early spring time here in northern India, so this place was also flourishing with different kinds of large and plants. The central part of this campus was decorated beautifully with all kinds of flora that you can see in the photographs.

IMG_8444.jpeg

It was the main entrance of the mall, and when we visited inside, we saw all the luxury brands that you can imagine lined up in a single place. I didn’t capture a lot of photographs while I was inside as I didn’t wanted to make people uncomfortable.

IMG_8445.jpeg

For us it was not about the luxury brands, but instead we enjoyed the garden more. We Circle this campus, a couple times, and sat in the middle for about 30 minutes, discussing about all the things that we did in past months.

IMG_8447.jpeg

For the first 15 minutes, we were sitting in the sun, but surprisingly started to feel hot. This time of the year we don’t expect by that to be this hot, so we would be discussing that the summers are going to be super hot this year. Because of that we had to move to the other side of the mall with shadow.

IMG_8448.jpeg

Was just around 11 in the morning and we had whole day ahead of us to explore different places. We also discussed all the places that we can visit that day and the single day is all we got.

That’s all for today. Thanks for passing by.

Saket seems like such a lively place to explore! The mix of bustling streets, gardens, and luxury malls must have made for an interesting contrast. Sometimes, just sitting and talking in a beautiful place can be more enjoyable than shopping.
