Today’s blog is about my Airbnb in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, India. It’s a small Vintage cottage away from all the hassles of modern life. This cottage is in the middle of a tabletop near Manali and you can see the 360 degree view of all the mountains around Kullu valley from here.
This cottage is situated in the middle of an apple orchard with more than 10000 square feet of private land.
This place is a winter wonderland as you can see from the photos. During winters, it gets occasional snowfall. Being in the middle of the valley, this place also gets sun for longest in the whole valley.
In summers, there is greenery all around with the views of snow capped mountains and baby apples on the trees. The weather is very pleasant in the summer time perfect for a summer vacation.
I recently listed this property on Airbnb, previously it was my music studio. I used to live here with my band and we used to record music here. So this place is very close to my heart.
There are about 100 apple trees and 10 plum trees in this property. So the late summer is the perfect time to enjoy fresh fruits straight from the orchard.
We also have a swing in the garden where the guests can chill and enjoy the surrounding environment with amazing views.
The photograph below shows the view of citadel with baby apples. This photo is taken around the month of June this year.
We also have a garden with many varieties of flowers here along with fresh vegetables for guests. Guests can enjoy the fresh fruits and vegetables from in-house kitchen garden.
Now let’s have an inside tour of the cottage.
We have a living room with traditional Himalayan dining, a fully functional kitchen, a washroom and a master bedroom with a huge balcony facing Chanderkhani Pass.

On the walls of the living room, the artwork was done by a Russian artist that came to stay here last year. Kitchen is attached to the dining room.
The kitchen is equipped with all the required equipments and silverware. It’s a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook your freshly plucked vegetables.
As already mentioned, this property was my studio before getting listed on Airbnb, I still wanted to have that musical flavour to it. That’s why I left a couple of my guitars here.
There is also an internal staircase that leads us to the master bedroom. There is also an outdoor staircase that leads towards the balcony and connects the master bedroom.
My personal best part about this cottage is this balcony. This was my go to spot for everything from meditation, work and even eating. You can see the view of amazing Chanderkhani pass from here.
A perfect place to spend a evening with your loved ones.
This is the master bedroom of this cottage. This room offers windows in 3 directions with mesmerising views of the valley.
The art here was made by a Japanese artist who inspired from Himalachali culture and merged it with Japanese culture to make this unique art.
Apart from this, this place also offers all the required things like Wi-Fi, 27x7 water supply and electricity. So this is the perfect gateway retreat.
