After successful trip to Ayodhya city, I was here in Varanasi the very next day after an overnight train. I had a very sound sleep the last night in the train and I was feeling really fresh. You can refer to the last blog below if you want to follow the full journey I am having till now.
Reaching Varanasi Railway Stationā
In the photograph below, you can see the coach we were travelling in. It was a 2nd AC luxury train called Bharat Gaurav that was dedicated to carrying passengers that are booked for a week or so to tour multiple cities. Itās a very luxurious and comfortable train with all the amenities and basic facilities available onboard.
We got off at platform number 8 in Varanasi Railway Station and started to move towards the main gate of the railway station. We needed to cross a foot over bridge that further led us to the entrance of the station.
First footsteps in the cityā
As soon as we got off, we set foot on the foot over bridge to get to the entrance gate of the station, we could already feel the vibe of the city. I was able to see temples and old buildings all around us and the vibe of this place was already resonating with me.
Luckily, today was also a very clear day and there was no chances of any overcast weather. It was a really good thing for us to explore the city and I was really looking forward to it. I was hoping that I would do all the things that I thought I would do once I reached there.
Even the station was full of the art inspired from the historical era and history of this ancient city as you can see in the photo below.
The sun was shining, super bright, and we were now in the parking space just outside of the railway station of Varanasi. There were three buses that were booked specifically for the travellers travelling in the train, and those buses were supposed to take us to the hotel room that was quite close to the railway station.
The railway station of Varanasi itself was made just like a temple and it was a theme that was given to it that reflected the theme of the city overall. You can certainly see that in the photographs below.
There was a lot of hustle and Bali happening in the railway station because it was a peak hour for the trains arrive on the station. Taxi drivers were calling out for the customers and were trying to find the customers. Those can book them for whole day.
I was even asked by a couple of Taxi drivers that I wanted a taxi, but as I was travelling along with other travellers and our buses were already booked. There was no need for me to worry about anything at all.
Boarding the buses that took us to the hotelā
This small buses were standing just outside of the station and were waiting for us to board them they were really comfortable, but it was just a short five minute distance from the station to the hotel, so we didnāt need to worry about anything.
Arriving at the hotelā
We arrived in the hotel city in just in five minutes drive from the railway station. Our breakfast was also ready inside of the hotel, and we were given a couple hours of time to get ready for the temples that we need to visit that day.
After breakfast, we were given our room keys to check into the room and get ready for the day and also take a little rest to overcome the fatigue thatās caused inside of the train journey. Although the train was really comfortable, but still the rest that we get on a bed is incomparable to anything.
Having breakfast buffet in the hotelā
Now it was time for us to do some breakfast in the hotel. It was a buffet that was served for all the travellers travelling in the train in particular as everyone has given a lot of price for the one ticket. So the facilities that was provided to us was very luxurious, we were served with the best kind of food that the hotel can offer, and we were also given one of the best rooms in the town.
Checking into the roomā
As you can see in the photographs below the rooms that were provided to us was super luxurious and very comfortable. It was a four star hotel with five star facilities and is considered one of the best hotels of Varanasi.
In the proximity to the railway station, it is one of the staple hotel for the traveller travelling in the train to this holy city.
We were provided with a triple sharing room with one double bed and a single bed and it was a very very beautiful room. The view from the room was also very amazing, and we took turns to take bath in the luxurious bathroom that was inside of the room.
After taking shower, one by one, we were now ready for the day that was planned ahead of us, and we were full of energy as we also took rest while the other people were taking shower. We knew that it was going to be a long day as we had a lot of things planned.
