Just like a year ago, this year I took part in the "Přerov bridges" tourist walk. There were two routes - a short one, which was about 6 km long and which led only along the banks of the river Bečva in the town itself, and a long route, about 16 km long, which also included a walk to the Grymov Bridge, a few kilometers outside the town.
I chose the longer route. Even though I am practically a senior citizen, I believe that I should still be able to manage the several-kilometer walk.
The morning was just like painting: clear blue skies and no wind. The river was like a mirror.

So I've left the town behind and continue on the cycle path to Grymov Bridge. On the way I am accompanied by the sound of water and birds singing. There were supposed to be over 200 people taking part in the hike, but I walked most of the way alone.
Along the way, I take pictures of flowers, butterflies and birds to stock up for future articles.

The second bonus was the opportunity to climb to the roof of the Strojař hotel. This hotel has been unused for many years and is falling into disrepair. It looks like it will be demolished soon, so I was tempted to take advantage of the view from its roof one last time. However, as I noted, the building is no longer in good shape and the elevators don't work. With slightly sore legs, I climb the nine flights of stairs. But I don't regret it.
Druhým bonusem byla možnost vystoupat na střechu hotelového domu Strojař. Tento hotel je již dlouhá léta nepoužívaný a chátrá. Vypadá to, že se bude v brzké době bourat, takže mě lákalo možná naposledy využít rozhled z jeho střechy. Nicméně, jak jsem poznamenal, budova už není v dobré kondici a výtahy nefungují. S trochu bolavýma nohama zdolávám těch devět pater po schodech. Ale nelituju toho.

Je to tak šest let, co jsme šli v Přerově stezku Předmostím až do pravěku. Dodnes pamatuju jak jsme zakufrovali u takového nadjezdu u dálnice a asi hodinu se tam motali, než jsme potkali domorodce, co nám poradil. Někde mám zahrabané v archivech fotky. Zvláštní je, že takové jeskyně u sochy mamuta jsou i dnes osídlené. Byli tam zbytky jízdních kol, nějaké staré tenisky i ohlodané kosti.
Pokud myslím stejný dálniční nadjezd, tak tam se ani zakufrovat nedá - všechny cesty končí na Čekyňském kopci, i když některé poměrně dlouhou oklikou :)

Taking the longer road alone gives one time to enjoy everything that pops up, quiet opportunities missed in the masses going together talking.
Hike up nine flight of steps for the views well worth the effort as are all the bridges you came to enjoy with waters running quietly beside you. Some great reflections on the calm water!
