I've done the same trip back in november 2019. Really beautiful and great experience to have the freedom to go where your want with your (rental) motor cycle.
Any idea how the situation is there right now? Guess tourism collapsed due to covid and I wonder how all the homestay's and restaurants are surviving.

With domestic travel, we can still go if we guarantee 2 vaccines. Everything is still trying.
