Hello my dear readers, since I was a child I have visited this place known as La Cuchilla del Niño, and without a doubt it is one of my favorites, and how could it not be, if it is part of the place where I was born, my small homeland, Zea, an enchanted corner as we popularly call it. It is located in the west of the country (Venezuela), geographically located in the Venezuelan Andes, in the Merida sub region of the Mocotíes Valley.
We started the tour through the royal road, which is not suitable for any type of vehicle, since its inclination is quite considerable, perhaps more than 50 degrees in most of the way, besides being quite narrow, its journey can last from 2 to 3 hours, depending on the skills of the person. During its journey you can enjoy the rusticity of the road, wonderful views, relaxing scenery and a cool breeze.
At the arrival of the hill, whose top is narrow, hence the name "Cuchilla", at an altitude of over 1,000 meters above sea level, you can contemplate a spectacular view, from which you can see the entire town of Zea; in addition to its beautiful scenery you can enjoy a beautiful climate, whose temperature can range between 15 to 27 degrees Celsius.
During my stay there, I wanted to capture its beautiful landscapes and spontaneous vegetation forms, which is really inspiring. Generally proliferate lush species such as ferns and mosses by the high percentage of humidity in the environment, in addition to its economic income as a tourist area, agricultural activity is developed with crops such as sugar cane (Saccharum officinarum), coffee (Coffea arabica), Cambur (Musa spp.) and also livestock activity.
A pleasure to share with you a photographic record of my favorite place, even though I am not currently residing in the area, when I visit it I feel its warm welcome.
