Introduction

Hello everyone! This is @ybanezkim26 and I'll be presenting today's edition of #TravelDigest! Gosh! I had difficulty in choosing the Top 3 because almost all of the posts are super awesome! Anyway, we have a winter hike in Uzbekistan, a trail to the desert in Arizona, USA, and a post-pandemic island trip in Puerto Rico in the Top 3. However, those in honorable mentions are not inferior. 🥇 Altynsay half marathon, Tashkent region, Uzbekistan by @damm-steemit

Hello! In my previous post I talked about the speleotour to the Peshagor cave, which took place at the end of January. If you remember, I sat and waited for the earth to dry up. The ground was dry and it seemed that spring had already come. "Mysterious Uzbekistan" began to invite people to the already green mountains. Alas, I had other things to do and I had to spend three weeks in February in the city. But as soon as I got ready, the weather turned bad and snow fell. But when did it stop us?!

🥈 Share Our World: Mayo Clinic Nature Trail by @sjarvie5

Yesterday I had an early morning appointment at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale. It was a fasting test and I had eaten breakfast (opps). They were able to get me in a couple of hours later and so I went on the nature trail that I had seen signs for each time I came to this hospital. This post is all with my cell phone as I didn't realize I was going to be hiking around the desert.

🥉 Pandemic Travel:Puerto Rico: Part 2: Culebra Day 1 by @seangold

About a week before our trip was about to begin, Puerto Rico announced another strict lockdown to further reduce Covid spread. I got a call from Puerto Rico, and turned out it was the AirBnB host for our place on Culebra. She first wanted to be sure we bought tickets to and from the island, as others have been stuck there by not being able to get a seat on the boat day of. I told her we did. She then told me, she wasn't sure if the ferry would be allowing non-locals onto the ferry to Culebra. Yikes. That throws a wrench into our plans, as we'd be missing out on a great location to visit, but also we now have to adjust our plans and find a new place to stay. The morning after we arrived we called the ferry and asked if we were allowed on and they confirmed we were. Amazing! Now, let's pickup where we left off, on a jungle road through the mountains.
