Our winners today 🍍

🥇 The Bay City of Collioure France by @leaky20

Funny enough these were not my first choices of places to go for the weekend. We had originally planned to go to Avignon and Cassis but those plans were changed last minute when a co-worker put the fear in me, stating that the weekend before it took them nine hours in stop and go traffic to get from Avignon to Valance - a drive thats only 120km and should only have taken them 1.5 hours. I guess everyone was excited to be able to travel again. So Avignon and Cassis became Carcassone and Collioure with a few stops along the way.

🥈 Hike #27: Hiking During Strict Lockdown (Czechia) by @onlavu

Welcome to the next episode of photo-series dedicated to hiking adventures. This time I take you to Jeseníky, the mountains range in Czechia. The hike took place during national lockdown when people were not allowed to leave their districts. This had one tremendous effect - normally top busy mountain spots were suddenly deserted, I barely met a living person. I truly enjoyed the quietness back then. Today we can reminisce a bit. Enjoy ;-)

🥉 Skeleton Gorge to Nursery Ravine on Table Mountain by @zo3d

I’ve hiked a lot in the past year but I have always been a little nervous to tackle Skeleton Gorge. It’s a steep, rocky, knarly route up the side of Table Mountain and I needed to attempt it with someone who had done it before to show me the way. Generally once I have done a route once, I’ll be confident to take it on again without a team lead. But this one wasn’t a regular route for your every day weekend hikers. It’s not one of those family 1-2 hour “walks”. It’s a long consistent climb up a rocky riverbed.
