Walking around the city of Porto is a privilege, enjoying the architecture of the city and its small infinite details due to its large façades of monuments and old houses.
Here I was passing through one of the most beautiful train stations in Portugal. The well-known São Bento station. As I was in a bit of a hurry I did't enter the station but I promise that in the next passage I will enter and show you its magnificent interior. It is remarkable and deserves to be visited the interior of the wide atrium, lined with twenty thousand pictorial tiles by Jorge Colaço, which represent suggestive historical and ethnographic pictures.
The colors of the monuments and their details, notice the windows, doors and balconies. During their visit to the city, if they visit it one day, they will have the opportunity to see various types of window and door designs. In the past, people who lived in the city gave a lot of value to the facades of their houses.
Finally, the Igreja da Misericórdia, in Baroque style. It has carved altarpieces and stucco and tile decoration in a neoclassical style. According to Francisco de Almeida e Sousa and Casimiro S. Arsénio, when Flores Street was opened, almost all the land was occupied by the Bishop gardens. Some were saved by Mitra herself, others by Cabido. It was determined by the Bishop that each new house to be built on the new street should be marked on the corners with the symbol of his forum S. Miguel.
