I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. The name of the temple which I have shared here in today's post is Raghunath Temple. Raghunath Temple I presented here to you because this temple is mythological. If you go to the temple, you will not see any such grandeur, but many great men have come to visit this temple. So in today's post I have presented this temple to you.
Raghunath Temple is located in Devprayag. Devprayag is located in Gharwal district of Uttarakhand state of India. Devprayag is one of the sacred and touristic places of India. Devprayag is located at a distance of about 70 kilometers from Rishikesh. Rishikesh has also got the title of City of Gods. The river Ganga which passes through Rishikesh also originates from Devprayag. Devprayag is a place where Rishi Munis accomplished penance in the archaic period. Due to which there is a special strength in the land here.
2 main rivers meet in Devprayag. One of the 2 rivers is the Tiffani river named Bhagirthi river. While the other river is quite calm its name is Alaknanda. These two rivers meet and proceed towards Rishikhe, the name of the river is Ganga. Ganga ji is mentioned in many places in Hindu scriptures. Ganges River is the holiest river in India. It is said that bathing in the river Ganges washes away all sins.
All the above is another topic, our main topic of today was left aside. The photographs of today's post are of Raghunath Temple. This temple is situated between Devprayag. Devprayag is a small town situated on a hill. So if it is not called a city, I will call it a village. To go to it, one has to cross the river bridge from Bhagir and one can reach this temple through a small lane.
The gate seen in the first photograph is the main entrance to the temple. As I told you earlier this temple is not so big or grand but ancient. This temple must have been established years ago so great yogis and divine men must have visited this place which makes this place holy. Due to being located on a mountain, one has to climb stairs to enter the temple.
The third photograph has the temple of Lord Shankar. This temple is also located in the premises of Raghunath temple. In which Lord Shankar is worshipped. Entering the premises of this temple, one feels absolute peace. After that in the fourth photographs the sanctum sanctorum of Raghunath temple can be seen. Lord Ram is enthroned in the temple.
The way to reach Raghunath temple can be seen in photograph number five six and seven. The road leading down to the temple from Rishikesh Kedarnath Highway can be seen in the photographs. One has to walk about 500 meters to reach the temple from the highway. After that an iron cable bridge has to be passed. After that walk about 50 steps and enter the temple.
Devprayag can be seen in the eighth photograph. As Raghunath temple is also visible in the upper part. These photographs are captured from the Rishikesh highway. Standing at this place, one can also see the confluence of Bhagirathi and Alakhnanda rivers. The view is really beautiful.
A natural scene can be seen in the photograph in nine. In which green mountains and natural scenes can be enjoyed. This place is endowed with natural beauty. In photograph 10 the confluence point and both rivers can be seen. This temple and place is really beautiful.
