Hello Everyone,
Ever been to a place at which you would know that it's the last place of Vegetation. Of Trees and Bushes and other Plants...
It's the place for your answer.. Its called the Last Woods The land above Kala Patthar and These woods are the last spot for natural vegetation in this region.
In other words, When we cover up the distance through the woods after Kala Patthar then No Vegetation zone starts. Were no trees grows because of higher altitude and snow line. Only the wild little grass grows and except that nothing grows at this region.
So as in Part 2 of my recent Mahili Theel expedition I have shared my journey till Kala Pathar. In this post I will be sharing my while journey after Kala Pattar till the end of The last Woods.
Till now we have covered up almost the Half distance of our Expedition and the view from this place was something just like this. All the huge snow caped peaks were seen visible.
Fewer of the trees at this place were even older that 100 years and the were kinda hollow form between, Maybe it might be because of the old age of fewer of the Plants.
The steepness in the pathway till now has even not been decreasing since we have started Hiking. At this particular point of the Trek we measured the altitude of this place and it was around 9,700 feet above form the mean sea level. According to the Geography, Change at every 100m leads to increase or decrease in the temperature.
Higher the altitude lower is the pressure. Thus that is the only reason why cooking at higher altitudes is a Big Task in The Himalayas.
So here we begin!
The Last woods starts here guys..!
This whole forest was really very dense with different species of Plants and Bushes.
Fewer of the plants were of different height and fewer of them were of Species. Fewer of the plants had Short leaves and fewer of them had long leaves with spikes in it.
The sun was over our heads but still we were not facing and sort of tiredness inspite of walking constantly form more than six hours. The heavenly view which was changing at every different portion of the trek was just cheering us up! by which all our tiredness just go vanished away...In the wind which was blowing...
Almost 30% of the Total of this Jungle was above the Kala Patthar.. All theses huge trees seen in this picture were grown on a hard huge rock.!
While waking through the heavenly pathway, I also saw fewer of the baby plants. I touched the leaves of these plants and were were really very spiky in order to protect themselves form gazing animals and climate change like heavy snowfall and heavy rains.
Isn’t it so peaceful out here. Just a wonderful hidden Paradise Shady place to relax and Chill in The Himalayas away form the Hustle and Bustle
It was just so relaxing being so close to the nature guys.. This while experience was the best on During my whole expedition guys.
It was like that the nature have given you what ever you needed. Like at the fewer places wild steps were automatically formed by the roots of these plants.
The view was also getting heavenly and eye pleasing at every single step that we took.!
Heres a picture depicting a Titlna, The seed of Himalayan Devdar Trees.
This was the last elevation, The last Hike of the Peak for the ending of The last woods!
The steepness of this portion of the trek was a huge task guys. It was just so steep and covered with huge rocks and slippery needles of Devdar Trees. Which made it a difficult portion of the Expedition.
My guest who was accompanying me throughout the expedition was just so happy to be at the place something like this.! Apart form his Hustle and Bustle of Mumbai Pune India he was just enjoying this moment.
The heavenly Peak of Baragrah Fort Seen visible form this place.
The tiny loose rocks over which waking was a huge task, as these loose gravels were rolling as we were steeping over them. So at this portion of the Expedition we had to be very careful and aware about walking over the pathways like this.
It almost took about and hour or more for covering this portion of the Mahili Theel Expedition. After reaching at this point we just few hours away form our destiny’s.
So finally we reached at the top of The Last Woods and after this No Vegetation zone was starting. Just about 10 minutes of walking there would be no trees and other bushes or plants seen. Except of fewer wild flowers and wild grass. The journey after this will be really very interesting with some heavenly view of the whole Kullu Valley. So stay tuned for the Part 4 guys.. It will be our really soon!
All these Photographs were captured by me using my iPhone 12 and were edited using Adobe Lightroom
So thats all for today guys.I hope you liked it.
