Hello Everyone,

This video is about my Journey of Exploring the natural Medicinal Plant Timbur in the Himalayas which is used as a tonic for curing fever and also used as a Natural Toothpaste.

Plant Description

Timbur plant grows at an altitude to 1500m to 1800m in the Himalayas and other part of Nepal. The botanical name ot Timbur plant is *zenthoxtklum armatum DC and it belongs to *Rutaceae family of plants. The shrub of Timbur plant is about 6m tall with dence branches and spikes and the prickles of this plant is upto 2cm in length. The bark of Timbur is pale brown in colour and is deeply furrowed.

Part used and Indegenous Uses

  1. Grinded seeds of Timbur plant is used as a natural tooth powder and Mouth Freshner.
  2. It's Twig is uses as a natural brush by which brushing it's twig Teeths and Gums become healthy.
  3. The Bark of Timbur Plant which is pale brown in colour is uses as a tonic in curing fever and cholera.
  4. The extract of the fruits of Timbur Plant is also reported to be a useful medicine in expelling roundworms.

There are several medicinal uses of this natural plant which is still unexplored
