Rescuing the bikers stuck bikes in the snow in the month of October in the higher Himalayan mountains. On the way to the Spiti Expedition.

Julley Everyone,

Starting this day out today, it was our second day of the Spiti expedition, and it was just the beginning of the month of October and something magical happened, guess what out of nowhere, the snowfall just started by even we had no preparation, no tents, no food. Nothing at all as usual. These places doesn’t snow like that, but still, the lands are unpredictable.

So was this day when we were somewhere near about more than quite far kilometre away from the nearest village that was Khoksar in Lahul Valley of Himachal Pradesh and also in order to reach over there, it would take near about six hours. Just if 2 inches of snow just increase more, then we are gonna be stuck for quite a lot of time.

But worry, not my friends, and that was something that kept us going, and we were literally enjoying this beautiful moment as it was the first snowfall of the year started early month of October and it was continuously. It had been just near about 10 minutes since the direct snowfall just started at this place, we were near to the villages of Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh, and we were somewhere in between the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh, and literally taking the photographs and enjoying the view as we were now headed back to a low altitude location.

IMG_2113.jpeg
The snowfall and the snowflakes were just falling like the cotton balls from the sky was near about -5°C as far as I remember, and we were at an altitude of more than 13,000 feet above the sea level, literally enjoying the first snowfall and the adventure full of joy as we got to see these few of the most beautiful places around Himachal Pradesh, share more stories about my spiti valley expedition in my upcoming blog posts but for now, I decided to share this particular moment with you guys through this post.

We were quite safe driving in a 4 x 4 vehicle with big tires, heavy engine and a professional driver who had been driving in such Harsh terrace in the Himalayas, but guess what we encountered a group of bikers who got stuck in these lands, unknown, no phone, no Wi-Fi and on the way I saw there were few of the also cars stuck in these terrace and also our car also got stuck, but few of the people just helped, but I have heard stories that the people when they get stuck in this valley stuck for a lot of time. No connection no network and nothing at all as there is nothing all around this valley and few of the people also lead to death in this valley. There is just an old hut where there is just a family that provide the food that had been running generations and generations and in the past in the winter season. When a group of people stuck over here, the family help them by providing food and shelter for near about more than six months, there had been the news.

IMG_2107.jpeg
Driving by on the way to a lower altitude place so that we could explore the place further and not get stuck in this portion of the valley as there was quite a lot to explore, and we were on the way to the road somewhere to the trails to the lake of the Moon. It had been near about more than 45 minutes since we started a journey over there, and it had been quite a lot to cover the distance till now and the snow. It was continuously covering the whole place under its thick sheet.

The Stucked Bikers.

IMG_2105.jpeg
After driving continuously for quite a while, we reached at this portion reached at the spot where we saw few of the bikers by the side of the roar. They were quite nervous, quite scared to stuck because how can they even help their team members among each other that I saw was that only among 10 bikes, two were now functional and it was because of the cold climatic conditions and the river crossing by which all of the bikes, just got wet, and now they require a huge push.

IMG_2106.jpeg
I, had my GoPro camera, and I was kind of recording the footage of the same so that there was no network, but I could show it to someone who might need it on their way to this valley. They need to find these people..

IMG_2104.jpeg
We were in total group of five people in our car. We just came down, running all the way for their help, pushed their bikes and made it to a safe spot in a while, and these are few of the photographs that I captured while we rescued them, and finally they made it all the way, and the bikes also were now functionally. It was just about the low temperature and the bikes got wet in the river crossing before was the reason.

IMG_2103.jpeg
Which state the place for quite a while help them as they were now helpless at the moment, the driver which was on the car had really a lot of experience, taking such moments care of for the tourists who came all the way exploring such Harsh Himalayan routes.

IMG_2101.jpeg
So that was the moment that I wanted to share it with you guys through this post, I tried capturing as many photographs as I could of this particular moment so that you guys could experience such moments from the Himalayas. As finally we made it all the way, and that was something that was about helping one another in the mountains.

So that’s all for today, guys, I hope you like it.
Thanks for your precious time.🙏
Love from the Himalayas.♥️
