I say hello to all the hivers of this community and platform is my first post in this community, so I hope you like it and enjoy as I did my visit to one of the coolest places in the state of Merida,Venezuela, Venezuela, a few days ago I returned from the state of Barinas, I was there visiting a friend and on the way back I decided to stop to visit the Mucubaji Lagoon, as this place is on the road, whenever I go traveling that way I go to visit that place, It is magical and imposing, it recharges my energy and my mind calms down, it is one of the most incredible landscapes of my country and I am sure of the planet, in other occasions I go to this place for a walk and it is worth mentioning that it is not near my house, it is approximately 2 and a half hours away, it is located almost halfway between the city of Merida and Barinitas on the trans-Andean highway, it is located in Sierra Nevada National Park.
I will tell you a little more about the Mucubají Lagoon, its origin is caused by a glacier, about 10 thousand years ago a glacier began its thawing process and began the creation of this great lagoon, is one of the largest lagoons in the state of Merida and the country, It is at an approximate height of 3655 meters above sea level, to surround the lagoon walking can be achieved in a time of about 55 minutes walking at a good pace, the bottom has an intense dark color and the water is crystal clear, you can see some rocks in the background, the climate of the place is temperate - cold which varies between 14 ° C and 3 ° C. The lagoon was named by the indigenous people who inhabited the area many years ago and its name Mucubají means "place of the big water".
In the place there is a wooden dock which is built inside the lagoon, is undoubtedly one of the best places to be, look at the sky and the bottom of the water and forget about everything, the immensity of the lagoon and the sky in that place is indescribable, I can say that every time I leave to visit that place the pieces of my head back to their place and I am at peace. Also on the site there is a cafe where they sell hot chocolate coffee and some typical foods of the state of Merida, near the lagoon of Mucubaji there is a route for those who like to practice Trekking which is not very demanding the journey lasts 1 hour and a half and along the way there are several lagoons also much smaller than the lagoon of Mucubaji, is a fun journey for anyone even is suitable for people who do not like walking or mountain.
My visit to the lagoon was excellent, I enjoyed it very much since I was accompanied by my mother and my sister, so the three of us could share and remember old visits to the site, we laughed a lot and we could also take some great pictures, which I saved in my files so that whenever I have a difficult day I can open my laptop or my cell phone and see the pictures, and I can teleport to the lagoon so that my head calms down and my problems leave me alone. En el lugar hay un muelle de madera el cual está construido dentro de la laguna, es sin lugar a duda uno de los mejores sitios para estar, mirar al cielo y al fondo del agua y olvidarse de todo, la inmensidad de la laguna tanto del cielo en ese lugar es indescriptible, puedo decir que cada vez que salgo de visitar ese lugar las piezas de mi cabeza vuelven a su sitio y estoy en paz. También en el sitio hay un cafetín donde venden chocolate caliente café y algunas comidas típicas del estado Mérida, cerca de la laguna de Mucubají hay un ruta para los que nos gusta practicar el Trekking la cual no es muy exigente la travesía dura 1 hora y media y en el trayecto hay varias lagunas también mucho más pequeñas que la laguna de Mucubají, es un travesía divertida para cualquier persona incluso es apta para las personas que no les gusta caminar o la montaña. Mi visita a la laguna fue excelente, la disfrute mucho ya que en el viaje me acompaño mi madre y mi hermana, así que los tres pudimos compartir y recordar viejas visitas al sitio, reímos mucho y también pudimos tomar algunas fotos geniales, las cuales guarde en mis archivos para que siempre que tenga un día difícil abra mi laptop o mi celular vea las fotos, y me tele transporte a la laguna para que mi cabeza se calme y mis problemas me dejen tranquilo.Compartiré algunas de esas fotos con ustedes.
