No vaccine, no entry? No problem! Well, that's what I was thinking when I sat in my car at the beach while I had my lunch in between client visits. Drive thru's are so convenient anyways, I can get used to this. I love my job!
I didn't know how far fetched, ooops I mean far reaching this Executive Order would be and if it's even going to be strictly enforced. Well it is. Later in the day I was denied entry at the mall's food court seating area. The next day, denied dine in service at McDonald's and Denny's. Then it hit me, dang these peeps are serious in segregating people!
If you're planning on coming to Guam, please keep in mind that touristy places are still closed and there are limitations to social/public gatherings. You'll also need your "vax card" if you want to dine in, anywhere!
Now before you "go off" on me for being anti vaccine. I'm not. I just don't feel this type of agenda in turning people against each other is what a civilized society should do. Just in case you didn't know, I'm a "Covid survivor" deemed fully recovered in April this year and all the medical personnel I've encountered/talked to, say that's it's not necessary for me to get vaccinated since I'm "naturally vaccinated now". Despite this, all this hype has gotten people so scared that medical reasoning goes out the window. The peer pressure is real, y'all.
Originally, I was going to get vaccinated because I wanted/needed to travel. BUT being forced to is pissing me off so badly, I'm not planning to get vaccinated anymore. Nevermind the travel, dammit! Yes, I can get that petty. I guess I wasn't thinking far enough ahead because I didn't account for my boss' increased pressure to get vaccinated AND our clients (potentially) requesting vaccination cards prior to entering their premises.
So in the end, I had to get vaccinated. It happened on the way out of a training setup at the mall, a day before my actual appointment AND accompanied (aka forced to) by my boss, haha. I don't know about y'all but I can't afford not to work, so I had to give in.
Just in case you're wondering, I got the Johnsen/Jansen vaccine because my doc recommended that I don't get the Pfizer?Moderna one (allergic reasons) and yes it was worse than getting Covid but a shorter duration (2 days for me).
I'll write about my Covid quarantine ordeal soon, you'll get a kick out of it, lol.

That pressure its because we have to move on! I still dont get why people dont want to get vaccinated.
I know is rude "no vaccine, no entry" but how else we end the pandemic without been vaccinated? How we be beat and kick other diseases long time ago? WITH VACCINES.
Im really just trying to understand why.
Well, I don't recall being forced to take a SARS, MERS or h1n1 vaccine and those were pandemics too. (I was still in Asia at the time of those outbreaks and it was pretty bad too). Im no expert but the vaccines you're referring to are tried and true, not experimental (although I think I read a headline that the Pfizer one was recently approved) and the vaccines you're talking about were made from antibodies from recovered people. So why isn't that true now? Why does the gov't making people who have recovered from covid get the vaccine? Even against many doctors opinions? Someone told me 2 high level CDC Officials have resigned over this Covid vaccinations policy as did the Chairman of my local gov't physicians advisory board. Anyways,
let me ask you this then: If your doctor, someone who knows your medical history advised you not to get vaccinated especially with a particular one (due to reasonable "underlying conditions" and advised that you don't need to since you have antibodies already, PLUS the attending physicians in the quarantine "hospitals" PLUS the federal contact tracing investigators advised that vaccination is not needed, would you still get vaccinated? Would you peer pressure anyone to get vaccinated (if they fit this scenario)?
I'm not saying everyone fits this scenario, I'm just saying the "take one for the team even if the chances of it killing you are higher than the avg person" mentality is unreasonable. Actually, I'd prefer that the vax kill me than to leave me with some other issue requiring a mountain of medical bills and a diminished way of life. Thankfully, I survived AND without being hospitalized, it was just painful haha.
Not trying to pick a fight or anything, you don't even have to answer. I'm just trying to understand why also. maybe I should have led with that, haha. Stay safe, my friend.
That's other point of view I didn't know!.
I'm totally agreed with you in that scenario you wrote. It's totally understandable why the critics for the "no vaccine, no entry/travel" in those scenarios. I didn't thought about that.
It's because how quickly covid it spread all over the world in a couple of months, everyone thought it was a simple cold before people stared dying.
Ya it seems like Covid went from loser to super villian over night, lol.
Stay safe, my friend!
Science is undefeated getting it wrong the first time is the only reason I can think of.
That's a possibility too. Thanks for weighing in.
