Fear Unlocked!
Our Island Trip was the most memorable trip for my year 2023. Most of the time, some getaways were planned but this time, I was not sure if everybody could go with it. Thanks for the last call ma'am @missleray, Dora the explorer of IIS, the trip was finalized and that time for a getaway was considered irrevocable lol.
How to get there on Bantayan Island?
Waking up early in the morning around 3:00 am and ride a bus to Hagnaya Port. Supposedly our trip is at 6:00 am unfortunately we have a delayed time since the bus to Hagnaya Port was delayed. The fare for the bus is 60 per head from Lamac, Ilihan, Tabogon, Cebu. When we reached the Port, we got the ticket cost of 320.00 per head bound for Santa Fe Island. We had our breakfast first at Hagnaya Port left the area, boarded a Ferry, and took a photoshoot.
When In Ferry!
Some realization came into my mind, like "This thing happens to me now somewhat like yesterday". I don't know where I need to start my story since I am just only from scratch and had this life. Not in riches but to think, I let myself try riding a ferry boat even if I am in my greatest fear. I am very positive at this time since I am bringing with me my husband who is his first time also traveling in an Island. Seeing him, my husband while he looking at the dancing waves, is satisfying on my part. This trip is considered our Christmas Gift for all of the struggles and miseries that we've been through in life this year, a year that is about to end, 2023. As you can see, we won't be able to bring our children since I can't afford to let them ride in a Ferry boat not in money but the life at their younger age, we cannot predict life, and happening soon is uncertain, so, I let them safe on my mother's side.
I am so happy that time, I am with friends full of positivity and courage namely; ma'am @jobeliever, ma'am @misslerray, and the beautiful among the shells, sir Lee A. just thankful met these people not only of what they have but courage of who they are, they were travelers and traveled with no fear.
Welcome to Santa Fe!
In Northern part of Cebu, we have a place looks like a gem and here we go, our first land was the place of Santa Fe Island.
Reaching this place is just a miracle, really a miracle, I can see ,vividly in my eyes the pristine white sand beaches when we were still on board the passenger boat makes the visitors like us to be attracted to.Stepping the land of Santa Fe is a big privilege of mine and I think the five of us got the opportunity to have a photo op. upon landed the area. By the way, it was my first time and my husband to visit this place the three of my friends already visited here before, they just keep visiting the place because of the peaceful community and the laid-back lifestyle of the people.
Also able to see an Islet and I wonder how the locals or the residents living far from the city, like how they sustain life.
The Island we visited on the verge of December 2023 is divided into three Municipalities: we have first the Sante FeItalic**, next is the Bantayan, and Madridejos.
Since we began our trip early in the morning, Santa Fe is famous for its beautiful sunrise, also the place you will meet first is on the Island where there are a lot of resorts and accommodations for tourists who want to say for a couple of days.
Upon roaming around, Bantayan Island is known as the center of selling the "buwad or bulad" in Cebuano term or 'dried fish' in English. Also this place is known for historic church, the St. Peter and Paul Church, the oldest here in the Philippines.
We failed to go to the place of Madridejos since we only have one (1) day to visit the Island and we are running out of time to enjoy the rest of the beautiful places there. They said Madridejos is a wonderful place to visit also.

We both enjoyed the day, and we went home with peace and healed due to stress. The crystal clear water gave us a nice therapy not only in our system but also in the entire soul. Big thanks to the people who were with me that time, I am satisfied with your services 🤣@jobeliever, @misslerray, sir Lee, and of course my only one, my husband, somewhat like, I took a free medicine from a doctor that healed and fed my soul with that extraordinary experiences, good memories, and a lot of photos as a memento.
