Itinerary for day 1
Today is January 28, 2023. Despite the rain and snowfall last night We woke up to a beautiful sunny weather here in Tokyo, Japan! We woke up around 7 am, bought breakfast downstairs at a Family Mart store. Their iced latte is sooo good. I cannot leave hotel without it!
Today's itinerary is lunch at Tsukiji Market, Art Aquarium Museum visit at Ginza, Stroll around, and dinner at Ginza. Quick stop at Akihabara- home to anime fans, gaming & manga.

Just across Tsukiji Market, we found this matcha shop that sells matcha latte, matcha ice cream, and all type of matcha goodies! This Matcha Latte was about 500 yen ($3.50)
Tsukiji Market
I am currently drooling over these fresh sashimis! Tuna, Salmon, Uni!!

Grilled squid!
This oyster that is as big as my face!
I forgot what these are called but it's like a strawberry mochi balls!
WHALE BBQ! I've never heard of this before until now. It's surprisingly good, it tastes like steak but a bit ocean-y haha
Ate aia taking the first bid to take a bite of the whale bbq
Ginza
We went to Ginza to check out Art Aquarium Museum. The Art Aquarium Museum at Ginza is an exhibition of Japanese goldfish swimming in a variety of colorful tanks. Admission is 2,300 yen ($16) per person for web-purchased advance tickets and 2,400 yen per person for day-of tickets.
It was hard to take photos inside because the area was quite dark. We enjoyed the Art Aquarium Museum. I definitely recommend it, especially if you're a goldfish lover! Who would've thought that aquariums like this are very relaxing, even for those who are not that interested in fish? Conor, on the other hand, was not as interested; he was busy playing with his car toys inside the museum.
What I love about Japan is that they are very thoughtful, from food packaging to bathrooms like this. This is a separate bathroom for kids! Look at the size of the toilet and the sink faucet. No wonder kids here are very independent. I was so happy to see Conor washing his own hands! Haha, small wins.
We walk around Ginza and saw this beautiful Hermes building. I was actually looking for it because I saw this online 😅 I wanted to see this cool glass block architecture for myself. I didn't go inside though. Instead we did some shopping at GU, Muji, Uniqlo and went inside Dover Street Market.
We left Ginza and had dinner at Furyu in Shimbashi. Nigel, my partner, wanted me to try out this ramen shop he's always talking about. It did not disappoint. Also, this is my first ramen shop i've been to in Japan haha
Akihabara
We were about to go home after that heavy ramen meal, but cousins were inviting us for a quick stop at Akihabara to check out some stuff there. We had fun at their gacha corner in Yodobashi Akihabara store. The store was HUUUGE. It has almost everything, from electronics, cameras, toys, etc. I ended up buying a toy film camera for taking pics for the rest of the trip.
We went home around 10pm. Grabbed ice cream, & other snacks at Family Mart and enjoyed the food back in our hotel. The sleep was about to be soooo good after that walk from Gotanda- Tsukiji- Ginza - Akihabara
