Might say that, but the people couldn't self regulate and self govern themselves to be respectful to nature and the environment by not parking vans everywhere, driving over plants and shitting all over the place and leaving rubbish everywhere. If people hadn't done that maybe we wouldn't be in this pickle.

Couldn't help but think of the 'shitty' T.P. thrown around myself either. The real shitty campers that do indeed ruin it for the rest. Plenty of places around my area where you won't be bothered ( and otherwise there's always the option to wild camp in someone's huge quinta/'garden'. The one near my next place is pretty awesome. I will move to there around the 15th but who knows, there might be an option to park there, a little sooner, if necessary.
