To be fair, the best spices I've ever tried were in India from street sellers. Like, oh my god, that's how cummin tastes fresh! Next level. Fresh really does matter. That blend looks amazing - looks like it'd be great on scrambled eggs!

I can't even imagine how fresh the spices are that close to the source. I read that most spice people buy in the grocery stores are already years old. Sunny Paris is amazing, even on buttered sourdough toast. It's so expensive but a nice little luxury from time-to-time. : )

So good. I love letting fennel go to seed here and eating the collected seeds, and coriander seeds, but that's as fresh as it gets!
