SAILING BETWEEN TWO PIERS // Cruise from Langsa pier to separate island pier - A cruise experience that benefits both sides of the pier

in Worldmappin9 days ago

Good night to all my beloved hive friends ❤️

In this post I will share my experience when sailing from Langsa pier to a pier on a separate island, namely Pusong Island, I did this voyage with several of my friends using a boat which is indeed used to transport passengers or goods, I cannot confirm the size of this boat but what is certain is that this boat can accommodate up to 20 people or more, these are two different piers that need each other especially in shipping services, and this is what we will discuss thoroughly here, the experience of an endless journey

Ships sailing to Pusong Island are not always on standby at the pier, so the right time to get a boat is in the morning or afternoon because that is the time when activities start and end, when I arrived at the Langsa city pier I was already awaited by a boat there, this is a passenger boat and is also often used for shipping goods

As we all know, Pusong is a separate island located in the open sea which is quite close to the Strait of Malacca, there is no land transportation to get to the island so everyone has to use a boat, either passengers or goods delivery services, many Pusung residents use boat services to carry their equipment, this is very complicated, like they want to build a house, so all the equipment and materials needed must be delivered first using a boat.

I am not sure how long this trip will take as it depends on the speed of the boat we use as well, but the normal estimated time to get to Pusong island is 30 minutes if we start from Langsa city pier.

The weather that morning was very bright and very supportive making this voyage even more exciting and challenging, the water in the river also looked very calm and that made the scenery around the river clearly visible. Approximately 30 minutes later I finally arrived at the Pusong Island pier, when I arrived there I saw that many Pusong residents were also waiting for the boat, so the boat I was using at that time would return again to take the Pusong residents to the Langsa city pier, this boat would continue to go back and forth if there were passengers or goods that needed to be delivered

I can conclude that this is a voyage that will be profitable for both sides of the pier, according to the information I got from several local residents, almost 95% of Pusong residents work as fishermen, they catch fish in the open sea and will bring it home to the fish auction place or Pusong pier first, and after that the fish will be transported by boat to the Langsa city pier to be sold.

Only on this island can I see many boats that continue to operate all the time, there are boats that have just returned from sea and there are also boats that have just left for sea, I myself really like these boats, because each boat has a different shape, size and color.

I myself really like traveling to this island, on this island I can see a lot of differences, starting from life to the way they spend their daily time, the residents on this island are also very friendly, they will welcome every visitor who comes to this island, of course this is a comfort and pleasure for the visitors.

This is not just an ordinary visit, because I continue to see and learn from everything in this village, and look at the photo below.

This is a father and a small child who are fishing on the edge of the pier, they do it with full confidence and knowledge, here I can see how they easily catch fish.

I don't know the name of this tool, but I learned how they do it, first they will put the bait in the tool and then sink it into the sea, they only wait a few hours to lift this tool back, the fish will go into this tool and that is what they catch.

In the afternoon we will be able to see lots of boats passing by, they are fishermen who have just returned from the sea, their catch will be lifted onto the pier, who knows what they are doing but what is certain is that the fish will be collected in a large container and then the fish will be immediately taken to the Langsa city pier, this is what I saw directly at that time.

I didn't just see it, I also had the opportunity to help lift, collect and deliver the fish to the Langsa city pier, as a sign of gratitude, the fishermen also gave me some fish.

No one told me to, and no one forced me to, I did this based on my own curiosity and desire, I know this is quite an interesting science for me to learn, even though this is not about my life, but this is a science that might be useful someday.
