In this post, I will share my experience and exciting moments when I explored the rocky hill area in the Ujung Lekas Geosite tourist destination in Takengon City. Actually, I have made several posts about this place, but this place is very large, and each area looks different and also gives a different impression and sensation.Just like when I explored the rocky hill area, exploring this hill felt like we were on an adventure, the natural atmosphere felt like we were directly in the forest, there was no vehicle noise, and the atmosphere was a little challenging.
This is a hilly area, so we don't expect good road conditions here, the downhill and uphill roads are a challenge in themselves, luckily in some of the steep areas, steps have been made.
I have an opinion, if we don't have much time, then it is not recommended to explore this hilly area, because if we explore it then we will go around this hill with heavy challenges so it will take quite a long time, not to mention the time spent to capture the moment, enjoy the scenery and the calming natural atmosphere and rest.
Look at this big rock, even though it is still closely related, I want to make sure whether this deserves to be called a rock or a cliff...?
The tawar sea conditions also create a very calming atmosphere, spending a long time in this place might be the right choice.
At that time, my partner and I visited this place on a weekday, so there were not too many visitors who came to this place, even at that time I only managed to meet a few visitors, my partner looked very enthusiastic when exploring this hilly area.
There is no need to rush, in some areas the road is very damaged and very challenging, rocks are everywhere in various sizes, the bad news is that most of the rocks here are sharp and pointy.When we feel tired, resting is the right choice, don't worry because even when we are resting we can still see the amazing natural scenery, the sea breeze continues to blow on our bodies which gives a cool and refreshing sensation.
In some areas I also managed to find several caves, actually I'm not sure whether they are caves or not, but if you look at the physical aspect and appearance, there is a 70% possibility that they are caves.Actually, I wanted to make sure but I didn't dare to do it, especially since my partner also forbade it, I know this is a tourist spot, but remember this is an open natural tourist destination and this hilly area is still 60% natural.
Here I also managed to find stones of various shapes and sizes, there was even a large stone that extended to the side of the road so that it became a natural roof to shelter from the hot sun and heavy rain, this is one of the unique things about nature that can be seen and enjoyed, it is truly extraordinary.
The natural scenery that can be seen from the top of this hill is also no joke, the view of the mountains, sea, and rural areas is 60% visible from here, but it was a shame that at that time I forgot to bring a cup of coffee so I felt something was missing at that time.
And in front of me now was a downward path, and I immediately realized that my position at that time was in a higher place, but not at the top of this hill.
To be honest, exploring this rocky hilly area is indeed very tiring, but if done in a relaxed manner, it might be an extraordinary experience, where we can measure the time we have, walk as exercise and enjoy the natural scenery as the result.
