VIEW OF MOUNT SINABUNG // Unforgettable experience - Natural panorama of active volcanoes in North Sumatra

in Worldmappin7 days ago

Good night to all my beloved hive friends ❤️

In this post I will share my experience when visiting a quite popular natural tourist destination in North Sumatra, namely Mount Sinabung which is located in Karo district, actually this is a trip that I did four years ago where at that time I did not know this Blog Hive, but I also had time to capture some of my exciting moments there, but because this is an experience that has been quite a long time ago, there are many things and moments that I may have forgotten, but I will try to tell this experience and moment as much as possible

I made this trip with four friends, departing from Bireuen district at seven in the morning and arriving at the Aceh border at 12 noon, after resting for a while we immediately continued our journey to Medan city, in Medan city we had time to spend the day to rest sufficiently, the next day at exactly half past seven we continued our journey to Mount Sinabung.

At that time I just followed the directions given by my friend because one of my friends is a native of North Sumatra, there were many roads and intersections that we passed at that time but what I remember most was when I passed through the city of Berastagi, because there we also had time to take a short break to eat.

There are several things that made me really enjoy the trip to Mount Sinabung, one of which is the natural conditions around the road which are still fresh and natural, so that we can feel the natural atmosphere when passing this road, even from a distance Mount Sinabung can also be seen which offers a very amazing natural view.

I don't really remember, but what is certain is that when we arrived at Mount Sinabung, we also had time to rest at one of the cafes there, there we could rest peacefully while enjoying the view of Mount Sinabung from a fairly close distance.

According to the information I got, Mount Sinabung is the second highest mountain in the province of North Sumatra, and this is a volcano that is still active until now, there are lots of climbers who flock to climb this mountain, and it is a challenge and satisfaction in itself, but at that time we did not plan to climb this mountain but only enjoyed the view from below

We spent approximately 2 hours at this cafe, after being satisfied with everything this place had to offer, we immediately decided to head to the cold crater area, I myself don't know the exact name of the area but many people there call it the cold crater.

There are so many exciting moments that we got here, moreover this is my first experience visiting Mount Sinabung, even though we did this trip 4 years ago, there are still some interesting things that I still remember until now and that is inseparable from the happiness and satisfaction that we got after traveling quite a long way from the city of Bireuen.

I don't know what the view and form of this cold crater is like now, and honestly I really want to visit Mount Sinabung again, with the experience I already have, maybe a trip to Mount Sinabung will be a very extraordinary trip.Apart from Mount Sinabung, at that time we also had another goal, namely visiting Lake Toba. Of course, to get to Lake Toba we had to turn around, because the roads to Mount Sinabung and Lake Toba are different.

I don't remember how long it took to get to Lake Toba from Mount Sinabung, but if I'm not mistaken, it took us about 3 hours to get there.

At first glance, the view of Lake Toba looks very similar to the tawar sea in Takengon, as both lakes are situated right at the foot of the mountains. At the time, I didn't take many photos, except for myself and with friends, In fact, the view offered by Lake Toba is very beautiful, the view of the lake is quite large with water that looks blue, as well as views of the towering mountains behind it.

Wow, what a fantastic journey! 💖 Driving all that way to see Mount Sinabung and then making a detour to Lake Toba sounds like a truly epic trip with friends 🙌 It's awesome that even four years later, the feeling of seeing that active volcano up close still stays with you ✨

This was a trip I took four years ago, but it was an unforgettable experience.
