AQUELLA MAJESTUOSA IGLESIA QUE QUEDA EN EL CENTRO DE MARACAIBO , RECUERDO PASAR AL LADO CON MI MAMA CADA VEZ QUE IBA A VISITAR A MI TIA QUE VIVE EN EL CENTRO.
LA BASILICA Es una obra arquitectónica representativa de la ciudad de Maracaibo y del estado Zulia, es mencionada en canciones de Gaita zuliana además de estar presente en postales, cuadros, y otras manifestaciones.

Cerca del 18 de noviembre de cada año, la basílica es el centro de la Feria de la Chinita, un evento socio cultural importante de la región, durante el cual además de las actividades religiosas como la procesión y la bajada de la virgen, se celebran eventos como el amanecer gaitero frente a la basílica, las corridas de toros en la plaza de toros el monumental de Maracaibo, el encendido de las luces navideñas de las avenidas Bella Vista y la Limpia, el juego de las Águilas del Zulia en el estadio Luis Aparicio, el Festival de la Orquídea por Super Sábado Sensacional. ESOS DIAS SON TAN IMPORTANTES PARA LOS ZULIANOS QUE FESTEJAMOS Y TIRAMOS LA CASA POR LA VENTANA COMO DICE UN DICHO MUY POPULAR. EL IRSE DE SU PAIS, DE SU CIUDAD, DE SUS TRADICIONES NOS DEJA UN VACIO TREMENDO PERO RECORDAMOS LOS INCREIBLES MOMENTOS Y QUERIA ENSEÑARLE A USTEDES IMÁGENES DE LA BASILICA DE NUESTRA SEÑORA DEL CHIQUINQUIRA, UNA OBRA INCREIBLE Y MAJESTUOSA QUE JAMAS SERA OLVIDADA.

HELLO FRIENDS OF HIVE, YOU KNOW I HAVE BEEN THINKING A LOT ABOUT MY HOMETOWN; THE CITY THAT SAW ME GROW UP BUT MORE THAN THAT THINKING ABOUT THE TRADITIONS THAT CHARACTERIZED IT, THINKING ABOUT THE PLACES THAT WERE MORE VALUABLE FOR ITS HISTORY AND ONE OF THOSE IS THE BASILICA. THAT MAJESTIC CHURCH THAT IS IN THE CENTER OF MARACAIBO, I REMEMBER PASSING BY IT WITH MY MOTHER EVERY TIME I WENT TO VISIT MY AUNT WHO LIVES IN THE CENTER. LA BASILICA is a representative architectural work of the city of Maracaibo and the state of Zulia, is mentioned in songs of Gaita zuliana besides being present in postcards, paintings, and other manifestations.
