Hello everyone!!!.
I am not good at writing but I did my best in this post, have fun reading.
Last year Me, my brother and my cousin went to buy some materials for ongoing construction at that time in a city called Coimbatore. so we went to see the materials and collect some information about the price and the quality of the material. when we started the journey, our plan was nothing but to check out the materials. it was a 6-hour drive and after 4 hours or so we were surrounded by hills and we got really excited. Since there are hills on the way to our destination why don't we make a detour and have some fun we thought.
And that's what we did, my brother already went to most of the hills around that area so he suggested going somewhere he didn't go yet. even though we were talking about it we haven't made a decision and I legit thought we wouldn't go anywhere except our destination. but as time passed we got more excited and at some point we thought "You know what ***k it, we're gonna go to valpaarai". that's the place my brother hasn't gone to yet, so he suggested we should go there. I checked google maps but it was about 3 hour's drive from where we were at that time. so I was hesitant at first but my brother and cousins were like the decision has already been made so just start the map they said. so yeah we got distracted and went to have a holiday for ourselves.
Another unexpected thing happened, we stopped for a drink on our way to valpaarai. the guy who served us the drink approached me after he has seen me take out my camera and just mess with it. he asked me to take some photos of him, and I said of course. He was wearing old clothes at that time and asked me to wait for 5 mins so that he can get changed real quick. so I was waiting and that's when I took the photo of the sunflower above. yea, I know it's not pretty.
so we were waiting and all of a sudden there was a yellow bear just appeared in front of us and started dancing. we were surprised because it was very peaceful and we never thought a guy in a bear costume would appear in front of us, but that happened and he approached me and said "Bro can you take a picture of me now?" so that's when we found out it's THE GUY that asked me to take a photo earlier. so I took some photos of him.
That is the shop he is working from, he asked me to take some of his photos in front of the shop. damn this guy is chill.
after that, we continued our journey and we finally made it to valpaarai. before that I need to tell you something about valpaarai, it is not a popular tourist place but people from various places visit this place to just enjoy the view, and some of the viewpoints, but there are not a lot of places here tho. this place mainly consists of tea estates so when we entered there all we could ever see was tea estates, you'll know when you see the photos.
Then we finally made it to the place and we checked in a homestay which was very nice and affordable too, I tried to take a photo with long exposure but I messed up the focus. sorry for the bad quality.
In the morning we started to drive and let us take to where the road goes. after 20 minutes of driving, we saw a group of lion-tailed monkeys which are endangered species found in the Western Ghats hills and mountains of southwestern India. There are only 4000 lion-tailed monkeys around the world. they were just crossing the road and we got really excited and parked in a gap on side of the road. Since they were endangered species there was a guy looking out for them and stopping the cars so that they can cross the road. even though they were named lion-tailed monkeys they are very friendly creatures.
After taking some photos we started to continue on our journey and had no plans, just let the road take us, So I'll just post the photos I took while we drove through those astonishing hills.
This view is from a dam called Azhiyar Dam. when we went there, the dam was empty so i didn't take any pictures of the dam.
And we spent the whole day there and rushed to Coimbatore to check out the materials I already mentioned. We had a lot of fun. Thanks for reading.
Sorry, I posted a lot of images than I intended. revisiting these photos made me think about that day and I remembered what I felt when I took these photos. these photos mean so much to me and that's why I couldn't help but post these photos.
Thank you all and Have a nice day!!!.
