How do we enjoy our summer season?
As soon as we get our first indication of hot weather, we're ready to pack summer outfits and head straight to the beach. Summer is our favorite season of the year.
Living in the tropical country most of us go to the beach to enjoy reunion, birthdays, and other important occasions. Not just for the important occasions but also when we want to have a peaceful and quiet time on the beach with family and friends.
The temperature in the Philippines gets so high. Nevertheless, it is the favorite season of the children because it is the best time to bond with families.
When I was young, my extended family always have our yearly get together at the beach in Cebu. But now, everything has changed since everyone is already busy working. Fortunately, last weekend, my cousins and I had time to enjoy the beautiful beach of Tabuelan after a long time of not seeing each other.
Let's head to the beach!
Today let me share to you our memorable stay at Maravilla Beach Resort. This resort is located in Barangay Maravilla, Tabuelan Cebu which is 3 hours away from Cebu City.
One Sunday afternoon, my cousins, Rex and I went to the beach of Tabuelan with the kids. We know that kids love the beach so for us to enjoy we decided to have an overnight stay there. After preparing some important things, we were ready to go.
On our way, we stopped over to buy some food for dinner. Some of us bought some bread and chicken as well.
Two hours later, we arrived at Maravilla Beach. The caretaker approached us and showed us the way to the cottage. There is no entrance fee here and there are cottages available for rent either for day or overnight use.
Our cottage cost us 1,200 pesos for the overnight stay. The caretaker informed us that tent is not allowed in the area. We were a bit sad because we already brought our tent with us. However, we have to follow their rules and regulations.
There are also available rooms for rent next to this beach if you want to stay in a more comfortable room especially if you are with toddlers or infants. The price is a bit higher than the cottages but it is safer.
Look at the view from our cottage. The sand was immaculately white and the water was calm and crystal-clear. It was extremely hot so before we dove into the water, we put a lot of sunscreen to protect our skin from the heat of the sun.
While the kids were enjoying, the adults prepared the food.
Thanks to my cousin for preparing the food. Everything has been set so before anything else, we prayed then took a picture for remembrance. It was a simple early dinner for us. We enjoyed the company of everyone.
The next day, we woke up early. Then packed our things and went home. Above all, thank you to our Almighty God for the safe and enjoyable time with my cousins.
