Happy tuesday my amazing HIVERS
Hope you are doing well and having
a fantastic week so far.
A few years ago I was in a choier along with my parents and brother, and we traveled alot all over Sweden but
also to other countries.
Today I thought I share one trip to beautiful Västerås that I look back at many times and hope I get to
visit again very soon.
YOU READY?
WE ARE... Me and my mom
that is 😁 lol
It was a Nice day but I honestly slept away half the trip up there 🙈 why
I didn't take more pictures
on the way.
First stop
Kårda kyrka (church)
Many cars already here, and they
were all waiting for US 🙈 lol
Beautiful place and peaceful
Really Beautiful artwork.
And so we are inside and it was a
beautiful view and so bright.
And here are my parents and I all dressed in choier clothes 😁 lol
I can tell you that I was zombie tired
this day, and it was because we
had such a crazy Schedule.
I wish I had more pictures from the church, but it was crazy busy and I am happy I managed to get some at all 😁
Afterwards we were invited to dinner
And passed this big yellow house
on the way 😉
This is the cute place we were eating
at, I love this kind of houses.
Me and my dad ❤️ he is always smiling
And some pictures of all the food
we got 😋 Yummy.
And this..
They also had a cute barn looking building next to the house.
That picture is for @thekittygirl
〰️🌸〰️
AND NOW
Next stop
The place I had been waiting for
the entire trip 😉
Skultuna brass mill!
Crown Princess Victoria visited
Skultuna Brass Mill and inaugurated
the memorial to the founder Charles
IX in connection with the
400th Anniversary.
A place for Royalty and Celebrities
BUT....
Also for People like you and me.
I fell in LOVE with these Candles sticks,
but they were way to expensive so
I just wished ☺️
A beautiful dopfund by Hjalmar Norrströms
Skultuna brass use
Some history
Skultuna Messingsbruk AB:
With the brand Skultuna 1607 is one
of the world's oldest, still active brass mills and companies, court supplier, located in Skultuna, Västmanland and built in 1607 by Karl IX. Today, Skultuna manufactures and sells both a home collection and a jewelery collection
with a total of almost 400 items.
Skultuna Mill was founded in 1607
by Charles IX. By refining copper to brass, imports of brass could be reduced, export revenues increased
and thereby improve the country's economy, at the same time there
would be increased sales for copper from the Falu copper mine.
As early as the 16th century, brass
mills had been built in Vällnora and in
Högen outside Arboga, but they were
active for a fairly short time.
In 1606, however, Nyköping's brass
mill was founded and the following
year the mill in Skultuna.
The fact that the brass mill was
built right next to Skultuna was due
to the fact that there was access to
Svartån's hydropower and that
the distance to the Falu copper
mine was not too long.
In addition, there was plenty of
forest in the area for charcoal
production.
Products from the 2000s designed by
Monica Förster, Richard Hutten and
Claesson-Koivisto-Rune.
Skultuna was a pioneer in Swedish design and in 1896 the artist and designer Carl Hjalmar Norrström
was employed at the mill.
During his time as artistic director, Skultuna received several awards, including gold medals for best design
at the world exhibitions in Stockholm
in 1897 and in Paris in 1900 for a
magnificent baptismal font that
is today in Skultuna's museum.
The silversmith Pierre Forssell
was active during the 1950s and 1970s,
with his strictly elegant design, Forssell became style-forming for the budding modern design at Skultuna.
In the autumn of 2015,
Bukowskis Auktioner arranged
a major exhibition about Pierre Forssell's design for Skultuna in its auction premises at Nybroplan in Stockholm, a printed matter about Pierre Forssell and his most significant products was also produced
for the exhibition.
During the 1970s and 80s, Skultuna collaborated with Sigvard Bernadotte, who developed a product line
for the set table.
〰️🏆〰️
AND NOW....
Some pictures from this amazing
brass mill museum.
And for me who LOVES old things,
this next spot was a favorite.
A really old Wash ball and wood-fired
boiler for hot wash water.
And this is what a really old wooden
washing mashine looked like 😁
They even had a A potty chair
from the 19th century.
YOU Wanna try?
I can try to squeeze something old into that Potter chair 😂 Hahahaha
YA I KNOW...
Very immature saffi 😁 lol
ANYHOOO...
Here is my dad with the doll that
depicting Charles IX.
And ever seen one of these?
An old electric stove from the
old 15th century
It was a Great place to visit and althogh we didn't have to much time and it was really expensive there.
I DID GET SOMETHING!
A necklace with a Royal Crown 👑
It was a gift from my parents as a late bday present ☺️ #ILOVEITALOT
〰️👑〰️
And so we left that place and
finally got to do some Sightseeing
in Västerås when we arrived.
The Church of Sweden in Västerås
Was our first stop to take pictures.
The tower on this church is a favorite,
isn't it a pretty view?
It was already dark at this point so the pictures might not do justice.
Outside the big gate door!
And here is me and my mom, both
tired but still excited.
To see what else there is to
see here.
LIKE... T H I S!
Brogården Café!
I absolutly LOOVED this view and if we had more time and got here earlier, I would totally visit that café ☺️
But instead...
We kept walking and came across
these group of men sculptures
cycling in a line.
Pretty cool and definitly in a centre
spot so you can't miss them 😉
Aseaströmmen is a sculpture
made by Bengt-Göran Broström on
Stora Torget in Västerås depicting
cycling workers.
The sculpture symbolizes two things:
The amount of cyclists who went to
and from Västerås' large industry Asea
(now ABB) at the shift changes.
Asea was an electrical engineering company that manufactured products for the generation, transmission
and use of electric current.
I had to take some closer ones and
make a little edit as it was dark and
some of them were to blurry.
This last one is my favorite, turned
out pretty neat right?
So if you backpacking through
sweden by bicycle, then this
is the place to be 😁
I am IN 😁 LMAO
That ended this bus trip, and I promise
to share more with you soon.
Can NEVER get enogh of good

I wonder how many people got splinters all in their ass when they went to the bathroom. 🤣
I bet if they did 🙈 Damn.. That had to hurt, and to get the splinter out.
Hey Witty if I bend over.. Can you pull out the splinter for me?
😂😂 Hahahaha
Only if I can use my teeth 😁
