Hello friends, how are you?

Unfortunately yesterday, I was very busy with work, and I couldn't make my usual post, but today I somehow want to make up for it, and I want to show you where I was yesterday, and I want to show you this beautiful villa that is practically on the Vicenza plain, where I am due to organise a wedding in a couple of weeks, but which can actually be visited every Sunday and every holiday.

It is the wonderful Villa Fracanzan Piovene.

It was around 1300 when the Fracanzan family, bought this land in order to build their country villa, this family in fact reclaimed a lot of surrounding land making it fertile for agriculture, and thus gained prestige in the Venetian Republic and became an increasingly important family in the Vicenza area.

Inside the villa, I was able to read the history of this prestigious family. In the 1700s, thanks to the prestige they had achieved, they wanted to show where they had come to the virgins, and so they commissioned a great architect by the name of Francesco Muttoni to build both the villa and the garden, and create a grand residence for this family.

This architect was very influenced by Baroque art, in fact he admired Bernini a lot but also studied Palladio a lot to understand his secrets.
However, in the area around Vicenza we can find many palaces built by this architect, just think that the original plans of this villa are in Washington, in the Library of Congress.

If you have noticed, there is a permanent exhibition of vintage tractors in the preceding photos, so it is the ideal place for tractor lovers as this exhibition continues to expand.

Whereas from my point of view, the place where the villa is located is fantastic because it is practically right in the middle of the countryside, so I think the architect was also good at being able to create this villa in this place.

I have to make a clarification, from my point of view this one about the vintage tractors doesn't have much to do with the villa comma there is no correlation and I have never understood why they did this anyway, they probably wanted to create something else to offer the visitor, in fact I remember that the entrance fee is 10 €, which is not an exaggerated price, and you also have a guide that practically explains the whole villa.

The part that certainly impressed me on my visit was the interior of the villa which is completely furnished, it should be pointed out that the decor is not the original one, it was practically a reconstruction of the furnishings of the time, however I was quite impressed because it is not so easy to find these furnished villas, in fact the wedding I have to organise will be organised outdoors Eh because these things cannot be moved.

I was also so impressed to see this billiard room, and this must be original from what I understand, but in the photos below you will also see the kitchen, which has been partly rebuilt thanks to donations from elsewhere.

It is really so special to visit these places, it really feels like going back in time.

Inside the villa there were several irons of the time, I had already seen some similar ones because my grandmother had them, in fact once upon a time there was no electricity so you would put the embers inside this iron and iron.

One thing I have to say is that there used to be a lot of taste in building houses by these architects, which I think has been lost a little in the society we live in now.

Thank you for reading the post, I hope you enjoyed your discovery of this place, I hope you have the chance to visit it in the future because it is really worth it.

I greet you and wish you a good day.
