Thanks @dodovietnam! There are reasons why people can't swim in the lakes.
The Emerald Lakes are very cold and highly acidic and have sulphuric smell.
On the other hand, Blue Lake is sacred and visitors are not permitted to touch the water or even eat or drink around its shores.
