I welcome everyone again to the last article from the visit to the first Central European Rally. There won't be much travel in today's episode, but more photos of cars from the last special stages of the entire rally.
Vítám opět všechny u posledního článku z návštěvy první Středoevropské rally. V dnešním díle nebude moc cestování, ale o to více fotografií aut z posledních rychlostních zkoušek celé rally.
The place that I had chosen completely by chance according to the map the day before turned out to be perfectly strategic in the morning. In the morning I was woken up by the sun because the time had shifted by an hour. And I had about 50 meters to the road. In addition, I was on one of the highest hills in the area, so I could enjoy the views of the surrounding landscape before the cars started.
Místo které jsem předchozí den vybral naprostou náhodou podle mapy se ráno ukázalo jako perfektně strategické. Ráno mě vzbudilo slunce, protože se posunul čas o hodinu. A k silnici jsem to měl asi 50 metrů. Navíc jsem byl na jednom z nejvyšších kopců v okolí a tak jsem si před startem aut mohl užívat výhledy do okolní krajiny.
As the start slowly approached, local farmers began to pull out all kinds of machinery and create temporary spectator stands.
Jak se start pomalu blížil místní zemědělci začali vytahovat všemožné stroje a vytvářet provizorní divácká místa.
I held out on all the Rally1 cars at this point because I wanted to take advantage of the ideal direction of the sunlight and finally have these cars with the morning light. Since I was high, I could see the whole area and I could try other compositions on more distant parts of the track.
Na tomto místě jsem vydržel na všechny vozy kategorie Rally1, protože jsem chtěl využít ideálního směru slunečního svitu a konečně mít tyto auta s ranním světlem. Tím že jsem byl vysoko tak jsem viděl do celého okolí a mohl jsem zkoušet i jiné kompozice na vzdálenějších částech trati.
Then I quickly moved across the meadows to a sharp turn, which should have been the original place where I wanted to take photos. The first thing that caught my eye here was the view of the Šumava Ridge. And then I only focused on cars. Unfortunately, it was not possible to get closer for security reasons, and in addition, the place was guarded by several policemen.
Pak jsem se rychle přesunul po loukách k ostré zatáčce což mělo být původní místo kde jsem chtěl fotit. První co mě zde zaujalo byl výhled na Šumavský hřeben. A pak jsem se teprve zaměřil na auta. Bohužel se nešlo dostat blíže z bezpečnostních důvodů a navíc místo bylo hlídáno několika policisty.
That's why I moved to the official spectator area, where I wanted to fulfill a small quest that I set on my way to the rally. And that was to have Bavarian beer and Bavarian sausage. Beer wasn't a problem, but sausage was. In all the stalls I visited, only sweet cakes were available. So I only stayed on beer. And a lot of viewers felt the same way.
Proto jsem se přesunul do oficiálního diváckého místa, kde jsem si chtěl splnit malý quest co jsem si dal cestou na rally. A tím bylo dát si bavorské pivo a bavorskou klobásu. Pivo nebyl problém, ale s klobásou již ano. Ve všech stáncích co jsem navštívil byly k dispozici jen sladké dorty. Tak jsem zůstal pouze na pivu. A podobně na tom byla spousta diváků.
I stayed in this place until the end of the starting field and then moved further down the track.
Na tomto místě jsem zůstal do konce startovního pole a pak se přesunul dále po směru trati.
Until I reached an interesting series of turns, where several compositions of one car could be photographed. And here I waited for the last special stage, which is called the Power Stage and there are also special points for the fastest.
Až jsem došel do zajímavé série zatáček, kde mohlo být foceno několik kompozic jednoho auta. A zde jsem počkal na poslední rychlostní zkoušku, které se říká Power Stage a pro nejrychlejší jsou zde i speciální body.
There was also a motorized pub in the form of a quad bike with a cart full of beers. By this time, many fans were already under the influence of alcohol because there was nothing to eat except cakes. And when the pub got into trouble, they quickly rushed to help.
Byla zde i motorizovaná hospoda v podobě čtyřkolky s vozíkem plným piv. Tou dobou byla již spousta fanoušků pod vlivem alkoholu, protože zde nebylo nic k jídlu kromě dortů. A když se hospoda dostala do potíží rychle přispěchali na pomoc.
Once the fastest had passed the course it was time to move on and try to find some interesting photo spots for the rest of the starting field.
Jakmile tratí projeli nejrychlejší byl čas se posunout dále a zkusit najít nějaká zajímavá místa na focení pro zbytek startovního pole.
I gradually moved to the place from where I had the shortest route across the meadows to the bus that was supposed to take me back to the border.
Postupně jsem se přesouval, až místu odkud jsem měl nejkratší cestu přes louky na autobus, který mě měl odvézt zpět na hranice.
When I got to the bus stop, I found out that I had to call an hour in advance and order the bus. I have never encountered this system, and moreover, I arrived at the bus stop 45 minutes before departure, so ordering was no longer possible. That's why I had to find another stop from where the bus will go in my direction. Such a stop was 900 meters away and the bus was supposed to leave in 15 minutes. I arrived at the stop a minute before departure and when I saw the bus round the corner it was clear that I would get home. The bus was full of pensioners coming from a trip, so I found a seat next to an old woman. She started talking and I had to brush up on my German.
Když jsem se dostal na autobusovou zastávku, zjistil jsem že je třeba si hodinu předem zavolat a autobus si objednat. Nikdy jsem se s tímto systémem nesetkal a navíc jsem na zastávku přisel 45 minut před odjezdem, takže objednání již nebylo možné. Proto jsem musel najít další zastávku odkud autobus pojede mým směrem. Taková zastávka byla 900 metrů daleko a autobus měl jet za 15 minut. Na zastávku jsem došel minutu před odjezdem a když jsem uviděl autobus v zatáčce bylo jasné, že se dostanu domů. Bus byl plný důchodců jedoucích z výletu a tak jsem si našel jedno místo vedle staré ženy. Dala se semnou do řeči a já musel oprášit svoji němčinu.
But this bus was not as direct as the one I wanted to take. And he made a small detour to the parking lot below the Dreisessel (1302m) peak. So I also made a trip up to 1200 meters above sea level. Where the group from the bus took a photo together and continued to my destination station.
Jenomže tento autobus nebyl přímý jako ten, kterým jsem chtěl jet. A udělal si malou zajížďku na parkoviště pod vrcholem Třístoličník (1302m). Takže jsem si udělal výlet do 1200 metrů nad mořem. Kde si skupinka z autobusu udělala společné foto a pokračovalo se dále k mojí cílové stanici.
I had about 4 minutes to transfer from the bus to the train, but the distance was 500 meters. When I was about 50 meters to the station I saw the train leaving. This meant I would have to wait over an hour for the next train. Fortunately, Krčma Vagón was still open, but it was already clear that they were going to close for the winter. One of the last beers of the season was shot for me. I got it with a 30% discount, which was a great price of CZK 30 for a 13 degree beer. So I had one PET bottle filled for the long train ride.
Na přestup z autobusu na vlak jsem měl asi 4 minuty, ale vzdálenost byla 500 metrů. Když jsem byl asi 50 metrů do nádraží viděl jsem vlak odjíždět. To znamenalo, že budu muset čekat více než hodinu na další vlak. Naštěstí zde byla ještě otevřena Krčma Vagón, ale již bylo vidět , že se chystají zavřít na zimu. Bylo mi natočeno ještě jedno z posledních piv této sezóny. Dostal jsem ho s 30% slevou, což byla skvělá cena 30,- Kč za 13 stupňové pivo. Tak jsem si nechal natočit ještě PET lahev na dlouho cestu vlakem.
I arrived in Prague around 10 p.m., which I did not expect at all considering that I was still in the middle of the Šumava Forest at 5:30 p.m.
Do Prahy jsem dorazil kolem 22 hodiny v což jsem vůbec nedoufal vzhledem k tomu, že jsem byl ještě v 17:30 uprostřed Šumavských lesů.
Originally, I had no idea how this trip would turn out, because I always attended rallies by car, except for the first attempt this summer at the Šumava Rally. In the end, it turned out that it is possible to visit the world rally without a car. It will probably be quite specific, as Central Europe is very well covered by public transport. In addition, one must be prepared to cover longer distances on foot. And it is definitely necessary to plan the journey in advance so that any transitions and crossings fit with the times of the special stages.
Původně jsem netušil jak se tento výlet vyvede, protože jsem vždy navštěvoval rally automobilem, kromě prvního pokusu letos v létě při Rally Šumava. Nakonec se ukázalo, že je možné navštívit světovou rally bez auta. Asi to bude dost specifické, protože Střední Evropa má velmi dobré pokrytí veřejnou dopravou. Kromě toho člověk musí být připraven překonat větší vzdálenosti pěšky. A rozhodně je třeba cestu dopředu naplánovat, aby případné přechody a přejezdy seděli s časy rychlostních zkoušek.
