Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda: Spectacular Beauty and Spiritual Bliss

in Pinmapplelast year

One interesting fact that I would like to share with everyone is that there are 3 temples named Linh Ung. The Linh Ung temple I chose to visit today is the Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda. This is the largest temple in terms of scale and artistic architecture.

1.jpg
The name Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda is given because this temple belongs to the "monk's complex" located on the back of Son Tra Peninsula. The other two temples are located on Ngu Hanh Son Mountains and Ba Na Hill. This is considered a famous spiritual tourist attraction with special historical and cultural values in Vietnam.

Because it is separate from the city center, the space here is very peaceful which is suitable for sightseeing and worshiping of tourists combined with the magnificent natural scenery of Son Tra peninsula. Tourists can not only admire the special architecture of the temple but also enjoy the beautiful views of My Khe Beach and Da Nang Bay.

The most outstanding feature of this temple is the statue of Quan Am Buddha, the tallest statue in Vietnam with a height of 67m, and a lotus tower with a width of 35m. The statue is made of marble, facing the sea with its back to the mountain. With such a large size, tourists can see the statue from many places in the city, especially when walking along the Da Nang coastline. The statue’s core also has 21 Buddhist figures with different shapes.

The main area of the temple is built in a combination of the modern style and traditional architecture of Vietnamese temples, with a curved tiled roof. The main columns are surrounded by finely-carved dragons. The dragon is an important symbol of architecture in Vietnamese temples as it is considered a sacred creature representing power and luck.

Inside the main chamber, there are statues for visitors to worship. Around the temple grounds, there are many Buddha statues and plenty of green trees which make the space more serene.
16.jpg
Images of traditional Vietnamese houses, ancient wells, and vendors' carts,...the utensils of the Vietnamese people from ancient times are also displayed throughout the temple's grounds. These images not only allowed me but also many other tourists to revisit our childhoods and see the simple, rustic images of Vietnamese countryside life.

Here, there is also a souvenir shop for tourists who want to buy souvenirs or gifts. Visitors can easily spot many monkeys wandering around. However, people are advised not to feed them, as this will affect their survival or they can be transmitted with human diseases

This is truly an ideal place for those who seek peace and want to learn about Buddhism in Vietnam. The time from March to September is recommended because the weather is sunny and tourists can easily admire the clear blue sky

Hi there, welcome to Hive Mit, I see you were referred here by @dodovietnam so you are in good hands.

As you may already know, Hive is a social platform, so when you are on Hive, you may want to engage more with people such as commenting and reading other people's blogs instead of just responding to comments on your blog and churning out content all the time. That will definitely expand your network and make yourself known to more people which will help with your Hive journey. The friends you make on Hive are the people who will support you in the long run.

Also, a little tip - please take care with your follow list. Ideally you should be following people who's blog you find interesting rather than people who have a big fat wallet and never post.

And finally, as a Pinmapple curator, you can try adding more personal experience to your travel blogs instead of being just descriptive. Let readers see the place through your eyes and experience, what the place means to you, what you like or don't like about it, and why readers should or shouldn't visit it based on your experience. It is these personal experience that will help take your content to the next level and make it stand out from a standard descriptive article.

Thank @livinguktaiwan and @dodovietnam for helping me learn more about writing and interacting with others. I will try my best to improve in the future.

What a wonderful place!

The truth is that everywhere I look everything is very different from what I have seen.

The truth is that I have seen very little of Buddhist temples, and less in person, but I loved what you have shown me with your pictures, since I had no idea that they could be so beautiful.

Thank you for sharing

@noahpsique Thank you, it would be great if you could visit.

Hey @sophronia you're producing good content, but don't forget to engage more with other people on Hive. And give meaningful comments to the posts you like. That way, you get more followers, and after the support time, your posts still get good engagement.

@dodovietnam Thank you for your advice.

What a nice place! I have only seen a pagoda in an entertainment park 🙂 It must be really cool to see it in real.

That statue doesn't look so big, but 67m is quite impressive!

Thank you for sharing!

@delishtreats I cannot express the magnitude of the statue in a picture. In reality, it looks very big.
