On Sunday, my wife told me early in the morning, "Let's go to the zoo and take the girls." I quickly agreed to the proposal.
The Caricuao Zoo is one of the main attractions of the Caricuao parish, a place that is officially classified as the ecological parish of Caracas, the capital of Venezuela.
El domingo mi esposa me dice desde temprano, "vayamos al zoológico y llevemos a las niñas" casi de inmediato estuve de acuerdo con la propuesta.
El Zoológico de Caricuao es una de las principales atracciones de la parroquia Caricuao, lugar que esta catalogado oficialmente como la parroquia ecológica de Caracas la capital de Venezuela.

Initially, I should comment that admission to the zoo is free for children under 11 years old and for seniors, the rest only pay a little less than 1 USD.
The zoo is a large park where you can find a wide variety of animals. Upon entering, I noticed that they are building a theme park related to snakes, frogs, and other types of warm-blooded animals. Then we can see a reptile area, crocodiles, lizards, among others. I noticed a large influx of people even though we arrived a couple of hours before the park closed.
The park has a wide variety of animals, including goats, sheep, two very friendly and beloved camels, ponies, ducks, tortoises, and more. Visitors can interact with many of the animals, including touching them and feeding them.
Clearly, the friends and not so friends of everyone in the park are the monkeys, which are free throughout the park, doing their thing. In my case, I was able to find a monkey that was pulling plastic pots out of trash cans to get the last drops of juice or water they had. When I say that monkeys are not the "so friendly" of everyone, it is because I was able to hear anecdotes from visitors who told me that you have to be careful with them, as they can be very skillful at taking your belongings (bags, food, among others).
Inicialmente debo comentar que la entrada al Zoológico es gratuita para niños menores de 11 años y para personas de tercera edad, el resto solo pagan un poco menos de 1$ dolar.
El Zoológico es un parque extenso donde se puede encontrar una gran variedad de animales, al entrar pude notar que están construyendo un parque temático relacionado a serpientes, sapos, entre otros tipos de animales de sangre caliente, luego podemos notar una zona de reptiles, cocodrilos, lagartos, entre otros, pude notar una gran afluencia de personas a pesar de que llegamos a falta de un par de horas para cerrar el parque.
El parque cuenta con una gran diversidad de animales e incluso cuentan con una zona de contacto donde cuentan con chivos, ovejas, dos camellos muy amables y queridos del cual pude tomarme un selfie con uno de ellos, hay ponys (pequeños caballos), patos, morrocoyes / tortugas, en fin muchas especies que dejan recibir el cariño de los visitantes los cuales pueden optar por tocarlos e incluso por alimentarlos con comida que venden dentro de la zona de contacto (zanahorias)
Claramente los amigos y no tan amigos de todos dentro del parque son los monos, que están libres por todo el parque, haciendo de las suyas en mi caso pude encontrar un mono que sacaba potes de plástico de envases de basura para sacarles las ultimas gotas de jugo o agua que ellos tenían, cuando digo que los monos no son los "tan amigos" de todos es por que pude escuchar anécdotas de visitantes que me comentaron que hay que tener cuidado con ellos, ya que pueden ser muy habilidosos para quitarte pertenencias (bolsas, comida, entre otros)

Finally, I decided to take some panoramic photos, and of course, my daughter, her cousins, and my wife enjoyed their stay at the park, so we started taking some photos of our crazy antics. It was a great and excellent day because, in addition to visiting the zoo, my daughter was also able to enjoy and meet the animals, even though she still doesn't have the confidence to touch them, she still enjoys seeing them and repeating the names of each one of them.
Por último decidí tomar unas fotos panorámicas y aparte claramente mi niña, sus primas y mi esposa disfrutamos de la estancia en el parque así que empezamos a tomarnos unas fotos de nuestras locuras, fue un gran y excelente día por que a parte de visitar el zoológico también mi hija pudo disfrutar y conocer a los animales que aunque aún no tiene la confianza para tocarlos de igual forma ella disfruta muchísimo de verlos y de ir repitiendo los nombres de cada uno de ellos.

Que bonito, no he tenido la oportunidad de visitar ese sitio en Caracas pero realmente me gustaron las fotografías que compartiste.
Caricuao queda lejos, te entiendo, pero si te puedo decir que es definitivamente otra cosa, se siente la desconexión ante tanto ajetreo de la ciudad.

It's good to hear that your family had a lot of fun visiting the zoo. Engaging with animals is quite fun but also a bit scary, especially when you touch/interact the not so friendly animals 😅

En 2015, aproximadamente, es un lugar precioso, con un montón de vistas donde puedes sacar fotos espectaculares.
Lo que más ame fue la guacamaya, y el elefante cuando lo vi.
Tenía mucho tiempo sin verlo, porque no he podido viajar a Caracas, gracias por compartir estas fotos, veo que esta aún más hermoso que nunca.
