The Camp Cebu | Underrated Glamping + Prenup Destination in Cebu

in Pinmapple2 years ago (edited)

I honestly didn't know this place existed until my husband's buddy told us about it. We came across it since we were planning to have a DIY prenup shoot. And of course, we didn't want anything extravagant.

No fancy venue. No wardrobe changes. No make-up. No fancy team that follows you around or something like that. And most especially, no extra cost for our wedding budget.

So, there it was! To The Camp Cebu it is then!

The Camp Cebu is located at Sitio Bandila, Barangay Bonbon, Cebu City, Philippines. When going further to Busay, you will see the LKB gas station beside MLhuiller. Turn left to Dale's Terracotta and continue the path until you've reached Bonbon Barangay Hall.

Both motorcycles and cars can get along the road and you can just look at its signage:

It was a bit challenging to locate the place. But as long as you follow the paved road, you're good to go. The signal is surprisingly strong there too so you can easily navigate through Goole Maps or other tracking apps.

The place was huge! I mean, there's just so much free space and cabanas are found everywhere! The Camp is in a generally downhill location but this shouldn't worry you since the steepness is tolerable 👌

There are plenty of great spots for a shoot and we just didn't know where to start. Still, I got pretty excited since it's everything we wanted for a prenup shoot.

Good ole nature. Simplicity. Peace. And nothing else.

They don't really have an entrance fee. You can rent one of the cabanas for around Php 250 and up. They also offer overnight rates for Php 650 if you want to do your own cooking and Php 950 if you want a hassle-free stay.

In our case, we only had to pay for lunch. All thanks to my husband's buddy who is a friend of the owner.

I figured it would have been a great place for team building or company outings or simply a budget-friendly adventure for a group of friends. And I was right! Before the pandemic, here's how most people spent their time at The Camp!

We went around the place and checked almost every unoccupied Cabanas. We decided to have the photoshoot right after lunch. The boys got tired but I still had some energy to go around.

And see that dainty Cabana overlooking the entire area? It doesn't look much but I bet it would be wonderful waking up to such a serene view through those curtains 🍃

I went up and it has a decent bed. I like the curtains. It looks almost romantic. Not sure where the bathroom is though 🤣

We had lunch with the best roasted beef I've ever tasted! It was the owner's (also the chef) specialty 👌 We ordered it with some pochero too. Imagine how full we were after the meal. I didn't even got the chance to take photos because we were so hungry!!

After roaming around and starting with the photoshoot, my shoes looked like a mess. I guess the place was a bit muddy from the moisture or night rain. This is something you should consider when spending some time here. That is, getting ready for some "mud time".

And voila! The DIY prenup shoot all done in about an hour. We only had to spend for lunch. We couldn't be anymore grateful for my husband's friend (a.k.a the best man) and his awesome photography skills 🙌

I almost forgot. There's a nearby mini falls which is just a few minutes away from The Camp. We had a quick detour where we ended up getting lost. So no, this isn't my photo and we weren't able to get there. Maybe next time.

I'll be sharing how our detour went. Sure we got lost but it has its silver linings. You'll know what I mean 😉 Stay tuned!

Oh right. Sure thing. I thought the hyperlink format I used worked but I guess it didn't. I'll edit the image source as soon as I can. Thanks for the heads up! 🙌
