Well Hello Travellers And Hivers!
A Seaside Adventure!
When everyday offers a new adventure and with that the enjoyment of experiencing new things and people!
Today I didn't meet any new people we're a shy bunch! Laughs!
We did a lot today and I thought why not write up a post about a nice coffee shop adventure! After a nice adventure for most of the day, stopping at "Jodegat" and making our way on foot along side the beach until we decided to veer off-course and grab something to eat, or much rather have a sit down at some place nice! It was already fairly late at this point but not so late as to not be able to squeeze out one more adventure from the day!
It's worth mentioning that we were already in the car on our way out of Mosselbay, well we only drove like two blocks. I'm glad we turned around to extend our adventure a little longer!
As we wandered the streets we found a nice little gem of a coffee shop that somehow doesn't get the attention it deserves. Quite odd to see a place so quiet in such a busy time, although most places were sort of quieter than normal, except for the straight up eating places! They were stacked!
Right off the bat it's something that I'm comfortable with, at-least speaking from a techie point of view but the name is what it states to be. I did think it might have something to do with motorcycles!
It's authentic and that is something I admire deeply!
Look at this age old Royal Enfield! Well I am questioning the fact whether this is a restored model or just looks pretty? It looks real but fake at the same time and I can't make up my mind. Although why would it be fake at all?
After all there is a ton of bikes stored up in this place!
Now this for sure isn't anything fake! Although it doesn't have a motor inside! Here's my question! Why do all the work to get the body of this rare and old beauty pretty and not focus on anything motor wise?
I am especially fond of the colour of this pickup truck!
It has lights on and all of the cosmetics that it should have! It even had brand spanking new tyres on the ride! Perhaps they have something planned with the motor!
Not Just A Biker's Coffee Shop!
As much as they are catering for car enthusiasts they are also catering for the real coffee lovers such as myself and the Betty!
A nice mix of coffee and cars!
I am digging the long extended table next to the window, you can have a nice view while enjoying the coffee! Now we didn't do a sit down coffee, we rather took a take-away coffee and kept on strolling through the streets!
I wish I knew what sort of machine this is! It looks like some sort of coffee blender although must be from some era long forgotten! Laughs okay no probably not! Although if you do know what type of machine this is please do inform me!
I am certain it's like a coffee machine but from way back in the day before we had discovered electricity!
A couple of coffee grinders with a enormous Opel badge behind it!
There were all these automotive signs on the wall, check out the Chevrolet sign to the top right of the picture!
A nice touch to the entire vibe of this place just had to be the upside down canoo tied to the roof!
I mean come on! Coffee, cars and bikes with a touch of an upside down canoo hanging from the roof!
It's all just classic old style stuff! From brandname boards to old petrol pump covers! Stuff most people have never even seen in their lifetime!
I found a deep liking in the old petrol pump covers! They also had a nice idea with the chairs or rather couches! Whatever one may call it! I didn't get photos of those, it slipped my mind! But all the couches were either the front end or rear end of a car that was cut off and cut out so that pillows could fit nicely! No doubt they'd have something in for support but the effort to make this feel like a nice vintage place really showed a lot!
I think me and the Betty should do some coffee shop hunting everyday and well enjoy a cup of coffee and at the end of the holiday do some sort of rating? Or nah? I'd only be able to squeeze them into two categories! Worth it or not!
This was definitely a worth if atmosphere was something to seek! The coffee well it was simple bean to cup, not bad but not what was expected!
And this is where I sign off from this post with this nice tree we saw some ways down the road from the Roastery! Nothing special but it does look cool!
To more adventures down the lane of coffee shops!
