“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.”

Mark Twain

We ended up taking another trip to Siquijor and Dumaguete because we traveled so much on our motorcycle. We had a difficult week due to unforeseen circumstances, so we decided to unwind in a mysterious location. In this blog, we will tell you about the places we've visited, the foods we've eaten, and how beautiful the area is.

We decided to spend two days in Siquijor before heading to Dumaguete to get John's passport processed. After our shift, we drove for about 4 hours to Santander's Liloan Maayo Shipping Port to board a ship bound for Siquijor. We boarded around 2 a.m. and arrived in Siquijor around 5:30 a.m. The ticket cost 1045 ($20.9) for both of us, with the motorcycle fare already included. The weather at the time is cloudy with heavy rain and thunderstorms. Despite the weather, we made it safely to our destination. When you arrive at the Larena port in Larena, Siquijor, you must go to the travel desk to obtain a slip indicating that you are fully vaccinated as well as a hotel reservation in Siquijor.

We decided to eat breakfast at Jollibee when we arrived in Siquijor because we were starving. We ordered their breakfast meals. After, we decided to have an early check in our acommodation. We are lucky because the owner didn't charge any early check in fee.

Following that, we decided to check into our accommodation early. We were fortunate in that the owner did not charge an early check-in fee. The room rate is 800 pesos only for the aircon room ($16), which is what we chose. Other current room rates are 600 pesos ($12) and 700 pesos ($14) for fan rooms. The location is excellent, and the owners are extremely accommodating. It is also within walking distance of the beach. You may contact here: RYJ's Inn

We decided to take a nap after checking in because we were exhausted from our journey. So it's already around 1PM when we wake up. We went to the well-known Dagsa Restaurant and ordered carbonara and Hawaiian pizza. The food we ordered was delicious, and I highly recommend it. Furthermore, it is not prohibitively expensive.

Our next stop is in Campalanas, Lazi, to see the Enchanted Balete Tree. This 400-year-old Balete is Siquijor's oldest and largest. You will be amazed at how large it is and how thick the roots are already covered. In addition, you can enjoy the fish foot spa, in which the fish doctors will bite around your feet for dead skins or unwanted skins, which is very tickling. The admission fee is only 20 pesos ($0.4).

Hapitanan is on Lazi's Circumferential Road. It is a welcome stop where you can buy refreshments and relax. We bought the fresh buko for only 35 pesos ($0.7). You can also try the famous Broomstick challenge here. When you jump, the staff will take a picture of you and position you so that you look like you're flying with a broom. There are no admission fees, but donations are accepted. You can also see a lovely view of Lazi.

Our next stops will be revealed in Part 2. See you!!

Que gran lugar, paradisíaco, es increible saber los lugares que nos perdemos por no poder viajar, ojala pueda ir algún día para allí.
Un abrazo grande y felicitaciones!

I take it that the place of the enchanted balete tree is the mysterious location you were talking about in the beginning? That's one huge tree indeed! I haven't tried fish spa and I can already tell that that tickles lol!

Dear @theduoxplorer, we need your help!

The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago when the HBD stabilizer proposal rose above it.

May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work?
You can do it on Peakd, Ecency,
