My wife and I just finished watching Shogun yesterday. What a beautiful series and what a beautiful country & culture. I really want to go to Shikoku one day as that's where the breed of my dog is originally from. Enjoy your trip - it really does look magical!

Shogun is impressive and important work of art in the form of film making. I started watching it and I about half way there before this trip started. I absolutely enjoyed it.
I won’t be to Shikoku on this trip. But you can see that I am very close to Shikoku right now and will be traveling striking distance from it. I always wanted to do the Shikoku 88 or Shikoku Henro but that probably needs to wait till my retirement. My daughter tells me they have the best Udon noodles on the planet!
Are you getting similar vibes on foot in japan as through the series? It obviously played many hundred years ago, but I'm still curious!
And: I love Udon noodles. 😬
