Discover The Beautiful Golden Rice Season at Mam Xoi, La Pan Tan, Yen Bai

in Pinmapple2 years ago

Hello guys, how are you today? September and October are the best time to ripen rice in the Northwest field, Vietnam. Yen Bai is a place with a certain name, should come once in a lifetime not only because of the beautiful scenery of rice, mountains, streams but also the culture of the Hmong people here. Today I will tell about my trip 2 days at Mam Xoi, Yen Bai

Mam Xoi is located in Mu cang Chai district, Yen Bai province in the Northwest, Vietnam. It takes me 7 hours by car to get here from Hanoi. The terrain here mostly consists of passes, mountains and terraced fields. Terraced fields are typical here. People will plant rice on them in the summer and will harvest in October every year. Therefore, September and October are the most beautiful time for the rice to ripen. The color of the rice changes from green to bright yellow very beautifully. People will come here to travel and see firsthand the pristine and beautiful natural scenery in front of their eyes, called "Northwest golden season"

I rented a motorbike for 200 thousand VND a day so I could conquer and explore the road to Mam Xoi. The roads here are quite difficult with steep slopes and slippery roads. Since my steering was good, I passed. That makes me very happy and the feeling of having conquered a difficulty. Alternatively, if you don't want to ride a motorbike yourself, you can rent a motorbike taxi - a local resident will take you to places safely in La Pan Tan.

The weather in Mam Xoi, La Pan Tan is very beautiful: in autumn, there is yellow sunshine and white clouds, and the sky is clear. All create a wonderful picture of nature appearing before my eyes. The colors of nature combined are extremely impressive. However, in the evening, the temperature here drops to a very low 19 degrees Celsius. Travelers should bring warm coats and towels.

Here I stayed at Pu Nhu Homestay with a fairly cheap cost, only 100 thousand VND a day. From the 2nd floor of the homestay, I can see the whole scene of terraced fields from above. That first moment I will never forget. I have breakfast and watch the sunrise here. Only eating instant noodles but I also find it delicious, it's great to have breakfast in front of such a "million dollar" scene, isn't it?

I love talking and taking pictures of the local people here. They are Hmong people, so the way they dress is different from us. They speak very little Vietnamese, but every time they smile, they feel extremely beautiful and friendly. Their brocade dresses are hand-embroidered with meticulous attention to detail. From children to the elderly, they are all very close and imbued with the highland ethnic culture

In October, buckwheat flowers begin to bloom in Mam Xoi, Mu Cang Chai. Buckwheat flowers are typical of the Northwest mountains, only in the highlands and cool climates can this flower be grown. If you walk in the buckwheat flower garden, you will find yourself lost in a magical fairy scene.

It was my trip to Mam Xoi, Yen Bai in early October, the trip still has many interesting things, I will share with you in the following articles. Wishing you a productive and happy working week. Always stay healthy and positively!
