Hi my friends, How are you today?
Da Lat is a very special land in Vietnam. With mountainous terrain and pine forests, there are places to see the city from above. At dawn or dusk, when standing on a high hill, you will find it very interesting when the entire poetic city is captured in your own eyes.
I came to Dalat at the end of December last year when the Christmas atmosphere was bustling all over the city. The climate at that time was very cold at about 15 degrees. Da Lat has high slopes. The terrain here is not like a plain, but there will be different high and low places. When you come to Da Lat, you can find a lot of lovely cafes located on high hills so you can see the whole city.
The coffee shop I chose is Lululala Cafe located at Prenn Pass. I sit here from afternoon when the sun is still to sunset and then evening. Each time the sky will show different beauties from poetic to mysterious. At night, the house at the foot of the hill will turn on the lights and the whole city will put on the beauty of shimmering lights
The next day I visited Da Lat market. This is also a famous place for tourists to shop for souvenirs and enjoy food. From the 2nd floor of the market, when looking down, you will see the whole scene of people busy buying and selling. All create a bustling beauty and fun. Da Lat Market sells local goods at reasonable prices. At night you can also choose this place for walking and shopping
The third place I choose to enjoy the panoramic view of the city from above is Trai Mat. It is a high dyke overlooking the valley of flowers. At that time, it was sunset, the sun and the golden sunshine created a poetic beauty. I believe the moment you stand at Trai Mat watching the sunset will be as enjoyable as stepping into a magical land
The last morning in Da Lat, I chose Thien Phuc Duc hill as a destination to hunt clouds. However, I did not have the opportunity to hunt clouds to make up for the moment of sunrise which is also very memorable. The air is fresh and the sun is slowly coming out from behind the clouds and shining all over the hills, it's a beautiful picture of nature

@thu172 Those are some cool pictures, I think there are some interesting ones in your story, when you say the sky brings out the beauty of the sunset to bring us together with the city lights at night which are no less beautiful. I think I can feel the serenity you get when you're there in that beauty, I really enjoy it,

@thu172 maybe i will never be able to sleep through the night, i like to spend the whole night with colorful lights from different corners of the city, i thought 😁🤦

What exactly is romantic in Dalat? Deforestation or plastic foil?
Thank you for reading my post. In Da Lat, there is no deforestation and soil pollution. Locals and tourists come here with a very high sense of environmental protection. The proof is that the AQI here is very low. If you come to Da Lat you will be surprised with the fresh air and the vast pine forest covered
Da Lat is romantic because of its natural scenery with trees, forests, lakes, waterfalls and wonderful climate. I hope you can visit Da Lat once

I would love to say you are right, but sadly you are not. We were in Dalat and it shocked us. Here is a picture from Dalat, the massive deforestation I took a few years back. Landscapes like this are wherever you go from Dalat. We drove around 400km and saw deforestation like these on every step. The main crops are coffee, cocoa and artichoke with other crops.

"The Central Highlands lost nearly 358,800 hectares (14 percent) of forests between 2008 and 2015, according to a report by the Central Highlands Steering Committee.
Most trees were chopped down by illegal loggers or cleared to make way for cash crops, roads or hydropower plants.
The country’s forests were disappearing so fast that PM Phuc ordered a total ban on clearing natural forests in 2016 to protect the remaining 2.25 million hectares.
In the three years since there has been a decline in the deforestation, but illegal logging, transportation and processing of forest products continue to occur in several locations.
A report showed that about 400-600 pine trees are cut down every year in Da Lat. Hoang Cong Dinh, former Head of the Inner-City Forest Management Committee said the greenery area has decreased gradually because of the uncontrolled emigration. People have been trying to illegally set up houses in the forests, thus causing the landslide and pine tree falling. They try every possible method to kill pine trees to get land for houses.

The cutting of trees can serve to cultivate the land for agriculture. I always hope that the government has strict laws to protect the forest not only in Da Lat but also in Vietnam in general
