Have You Seen Her? Vietnam’s Tallest Buddha Statue

Have you seen her?
This is the tallest Buddha statue in Viet Nam both scale and art of architecture. Locating (inside Linh Ung Temple) on the top of a hill overlooking the Bay of Da Nang and the East Sea, Lady Buddha is 67 meters in height and extraordinarily majestic. A very spectacular setting for worship as well as for picture taking.

The Lady Buddha statue is massive and pretty impressive. There are 17 floors in the statue lap and each has an altar with 21 Buddha statues with different postures, shapes and facial expression.

The construction of Linh Ung Pagoda (including Lady Buddha) started on June 2004 and it took six years to complete and opened to the public on July 2010.

The locals believe that the Pagoda was built to protect the city from typhoons as well as pray for the safety and prosperity of the local fishermen.

Lady Buddha herself is an incredible sight. In additional, the unique thing about this stunning destination is a impressive collection of bonsai trees which are all over the temple and they are just so elegant and understated.

To go into the temple you need to remove your shoes and make sure your legs and shoulders are good covered to enter.
The temples are very well kept and the architecture is really interesting. It's an incredible place to see the Buddhist cultures and definitely worth walking around and looking at the lovely statues and superb bonsai trees.

Another stunning complex with a sleeping Buddha which is slightly away from the rest of the temple complex. It's a lovely and tranquil area.

I would highly recommend to visit this beautiful, quiet and peaceful place for prayers or just to chill watching stunning views over Da Nang beach and beautiful sunset. Entrance is free and it's on the way to monkey mountain.

If you are comfortable on a bike, you can get here by your own as it's close and easy to access on a motorbike.

The drive there from the city is really pretty with lots of scenic views so well worth drive up. The views on the way up are spectacular. It is pretty easy drive and there is spacious parking where you leave a small donation for them to keep an eyes on your bike.

A massive bonus to meet these cute friends at the temple or on the way up more 😊

There is a beautiful coffee shop ( that just opened) just few steps from the Temple on the right side where you can stop by for a coffee and enjoy the sea views

Awesome! The place must be very serene.

Thank you. It's beautiful and serene place as well as an impressive tourist attraction here 🙂

I've always loved bonsai trees. One of my brother's had one for a long time and trained it to grow in odd shapes and stuff. It wasn't as good as those in your pictures above, but had a similar look. This looks like an interesting place to visit and you say it's accessible for day trips? I'd like to visit someday.

Yes Galen, you can visit anytime of the day until 9pm. They have a big garden of Gansai trees and all are looked after well.
We can see a stunning views of beach and see from here, very nice to visit-a definitely highlight trip in Da Nang 😊

I was only talking with Faith last night about overseas travel...We'd like to stay a bit closer to home so that opens up the opportunity to re-visit places like Vietnam. Da-Nang maybe huh? :)

I'm glad to hear that Da nang is considered as your next overseas travel...😍you can also see Hoi An as it's just 30 mins driving. So many things to see in the central 🙂 that you will love it here 😃

It'll happen one day, we need to get past this virus thing first I suppose.

Yea you are right. W need to pass thhe current situation :)) And life back to normal. I guess Aus is under good control now as same as VietNam but it worsening in some countries in the world like in Europe :((

Yeah Australia isn't going too badly...Just some disease carriers kicking around the Eastern States really...But they lock them away in littledisease containment boxes and all is well. Lol.

I've been there. Such a peaceful and lovely place. We can see the statue all across the bay so I knew it was big but once you are standing next to it the Lady Buddha is pretty awe-inspiring. Great shots!

Thank you @gabe.radke for taking time to see and writing such a beautiful comment. I'm glad to here that you already been here. She is really giant and magnificent. Panoramic city views, superb bonsai trees & interesting architecture make this place awesome -my most favorite attraction in Da Nang.

Wow... this will be interesting to see.
That's one on Hainan Island in China I wanted to see too.

Thank you. I'm glad you like it. Highly recommended not to miss this place when in Da Nang 😍

you're welcome.

I love Buddha's sis and that Lady Buddha looks absolutely amazing we have very similar ones over here in Thailand that you can walk into and with lifts inside also just amazing to see 😉

Thank you Sis :)) She is amazing. Where is the Buddha there Sis? Is it in Bangkok?
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend ❤️
