Greeting all Hivers!
As I said in the previous article, today, I will keep on telling my second day in Chiang Mai.
After a day visiting around Chiang Mai city, we continued our trip by arriving Doi inthanon, a highest mountain in Thailand in the next morning that time.
Different from the others, this time, we rented a scooter for both of us. It took us over 2 hours to get to Doi Inthanon in the hot weather. The traffic rules in Thailand are different from my country. When driving, we had to drive on the left side while in Viet Nam, the right side is always the main one that we have to follow when joining the traffic. Sometimes, We forgot about this rule and nearly had some accidents in a second.
We reached to the Doi Inthanon at 9 am. At the first sight, I did not think Doi Inthanon is a mountain, it looks like a huge park in the hill. The weather in Doi Inthanon is so great, with the high humidity and cool weather at the bottom but the weather will be very cold when reaching on the top. We got into the gate, and checked the guidance paper to have an overview. (I did not take the picture of it, so I have to borrow a picture on the internet with the reference source.)
Doi Inthanon has a lot of attractive destinations to visit and a plenty of activities to take part in. Because we have to come back Chiang Mai city in the afternoon, so we could not camp in the camping-site. We got rid of this option right away.
And Doi Inthanon Summit, the highest peak in here was our first choice.
I just like losting in the tropical rain forest. From the vegetation to the landscape around. It seem like these vegetations are living under the wet weather all year round. The symbiosis between the mosses and the old trees created a great picture, it reminds me the landscape in the ocean that I often watch in the movie. In addition to, there are some orchids and fern on the big tree. I still did not know why they can grow quickly like that and is it possbile to kill a big tree if its growing- rate is so fast?
Inside the forest, in order to avoid destroying the nature and create opportunity for the visitors, a wooden trail has been built, extend the road by some kilometres.
We kept going till meeeting the check-point to remark that we have reached to the highest spot in Thailand. On the way to get out, we met a couple of elephant statues, the fetish of Thailand. There were some birds which are very brave and not scared of people.
From the highest point, we moved to Two Chedis destination in 15 minutes. Two biggest towers came out in front of my eyes when rain fell down. Around two towers, they grow and design the cityscape according to separation each area.
To be out of the rain, we run into the first tower following some tourists. What a breathtaking sight inside the tower, there was a sacred statues of Buddha standing in a taking an oath pose, and some pictures on the wall implied the teaching of Buddha to others.
On the contrary to the first tower, the second tower brought to me a melancholy feeling because the pupple color covered on the wall. They continued to feature the lesson of Buddha by only images and images.
Until the rain stopped, we went down to the main road, and intended to stop by another places. There weres some waterfall, the terrace fields and some forest areas that we still did not visit.
Running down the slope, we stopped in the pavement, watched the sky reaching the forest in a distance.
We also climbed to the hill to see more clearly. The forest is in my right side with the amazing forest view while in my left side, the big wall covered by mosses. I felt like I am just a tiny creature on the powerful nature.
There was only 2 hours for us to stay and visit Doi Inthanon before the sun going down. There were a lot of other destinations we were still missing in Đoi Inthanon. In the next post as the end article for my trip in Chiang Mai, I will visit a small waterfall, terrace fields and a special jungle ^^.
