Radhe Radhe!
It was my second day at Nainital and it was around 9 in the morning and I was still in my bed because it was raining outside. I had a long list of to do things for today but couldn't made it possible. So around 11 in the morning the rain finalist of the and I stepped outside my hotel room to experience the beauty of the mountains after rain. My hotel was near Mall road in Nainital, so the very first thing that came into my mind was to do boating at the Nani Lake. If you have read my previous blogs then you know that Nani lake is the heart of Nainital and its eye shaped lake. Water of this lake was crystal clear and it fat like a window into another world. The water of the lake was changing colour depending up on the sunlight and it was a phenomenal experience specially when you are boating in middle of lake. Boating is the most common activity here at Tallital and it is a source of livelihood for many people. Only Wooden boards are allowed here keeping in mind the aquatic life and the environment. Therefore this lake has lots of fishe species and it also has submerged plants and algae along with migratory birds and residential birds. Is what makes Nainital even more prettier. Also as during the tourist season the lake came under tourism pressure, sewage and overuse, affecting the water quality and aquatic life but certain conservative steps has been taken to restore it. The pollution has been kept in control by banning the washing of clothes near the lakes and also to treat the savage different savage treatment plants were established. Order to reduce the crowd during boarding limited numbers of boards are allowed at a time. Also we have Nainital lake development authority which keep checking the water quality regularly. They have played a main role in keeping the beauty of Nainital intect inspite of facing lots of tourism and pollution. Cause of such great actions in the condition of Lake has been restored and its improve comparatively but a constant care is always required as it's a very famous tourist spot and tourism is also a main source of income for people there.

Ice at on a boat with the capacity of 3 the board man was sitting on tl one end and on another there was me and my friend. He was telling us regarding the shooting of movies done here. We were there during monsoon season so there was no to rest or very less to rest he said that you guys are really lucky that you have arrived during such a time cause otherwise it's crowded and you have to wait for your turn to do boating. There we saw lots of Temple after every turn and upon asking the board man told us that the eye of goddess sati fell here there for the name is Naina lake or Nani lake and people of Kumaon region are a very spiritual so they always wanted to protect a holy place that's why there are lots of temples round the lake so that the whole area become sacred. Also they believe that worshipping near Holi lake and enhances the blessings as water is a symbol of purifier and abundance in Hindu religion.

These steep Green hills were enhancing the the beauty of even more. You will be surprised to know that the maximum depth of this lake is around 90 feet and average is around 52 feet which make this lake nearly bottomless. When I got this information while on a boat in the middle of Lake I really got afraid cause it's huge and it's nearly bottomless. Now you can guess what was my next question for the boatman. I asked him has anybody died here in this lake and to my surprise I came to know that yes sometime cause of boards accident as once an overloaded board lead to an accident and also many cases of drowning has been reported here. Miserable part is people has used this lake for suicide cause it's really Deep and bottomless.

The crystal clear water of the lake was literary like a window to another world and you can see how calm the water is. Well in old days cause of lag of oxygen in water aquatic life was affected badly therefore now oxygen machines have been installed to provide oxygen into the parts of lake and most of the oxidation happens naturally. The board man was a local and he was very informative, he kept telling us more and more thing and he had answers to every question.

We were boating for around 15 minutes and suddenly it started raining now as I have heard lots of stories I was really afraid so we told him to take us back he was also very responsible towards it so without thinking for a second we took a u turn and started our journey backward.

We were in the middle of lake and within a flip of second the clouds covered the mountains around us and it suddenly don't more beautiful. It was dangerous but also beautiful, the memories are still vivid and it was an incredible time and incredible day.

The lake feels magical. The green color is a sign of its exuberant beauty.

Too deep! It would scare me, really scare me, ha ha ha. But these are things worth experiencing. Beautiful!

The beauty is unbeatable.
