When I think about going to a beautiful place with beautiful beaches, the Brazil South Coast comes to my mind.
We have an amazing coast and it's very hard to choose the best one, but I have a special feeling for Santa Catarina State.
It has a beautiful coastline surrounded by vegetation and mountains.
As the winter is coming to Brazil, I decided to grab my backpack and visit it before the heavy Winter that will start next month.
I have some friends around there, so I told them about my plan and soon received some proposals to stay a couple of days with them. That`s good, I already have someplace to crash. I came a couple of days before my hotel check-in and enjoyed my old-time friends' company.

Bus trip to Brazil South Coast - stop 1: Balneário Camboriú | 🎡⛴️🌇🌊
Where the journey Start
It all started when I was bored in São Paulo and started searching for co-working places to stay. And decided to check for some promotions in the southern states and avail of the low season.
After some research, I found an amazing place in Bombinhas, that I will tell you more about in my next post. It's far away from the crowd, but not in the high season, which becomes superpopulated and a place that I never stayed before, just visiting for a couple of days staying in nearby cities.
I`m going to spend 30 days around here, taking some time to relax, rest, take pictures to post here in Hive and who knows what else can happen.
Schedule a bus using Buser co., having my first trip with this company that a lot of friends are talking about and seems to be great and cheaper to travel with them.
I liked it a lot, the bus is very new and comfortable, has onboard wifi, water, coffee, and a power plug so you can charge your phone or computer. Noticed a lot of people with notebooks open and working or maybe just seeing memes.
The bus arrived at Balneário Camboriú earlier than expected, great, but was 9 hours driving. By airplane, it is about 45 minutes to 1 in a nearby airport. As the airport is kind of far from Balneário, I choose the bus over the airplane that drops me at B.C. downtown. So, I don`t need to catch an Uber or Cab, or even rent a car.
From Navegantes or Florianópolis airports you will spend a great amount of money on transportation to Balneario. The best solution is to rent a car, so you can visit nearby places while driving around the city with more comfort than waiting for cabs available.
Balneário has a lot of cabs, so, if you don't like to drive, it's also a good choice. City Bus is good, but the ride frequency is low, so it can be another option if you don't have a rush. But I don't recommend it. It's a city made for cars.
Followed my friend's house by Uber and the next morning she drove me around for a city tour and I was able to take some pictures in between chatting and laughing.

About Balneário Camboriú
Located in Santa Catarina, known as the “Brazilian Dubai” for buildings high lines onshore, and now be known as the city with the largest residential building in Latin America, named YACHTHOUSE.
The city, with its steep hills that drop to the sea, is popular with South Americans. The main seaside avenue is Avenida Atlântica and its famous cable car connects the city's central beach to Laranjeiras beach.
Taquaras Beach
We went out for a quick city tour and for having some lunch, nothing well planned, just riding around the city.
Our first stop was on Taquaras beach, a great beach to run away from the crowds, as it's far from downtown, usually a more reserved place to enjoy some peaceful beach with friends and family.

After a while, we keep going before hunger catches us. Deciding between sushi or hamburger for lunch. Balneario has great restaurants, so it's kind of hard to choose to have so many great options.
Balneário Camboriú City Tour
We made a city tour passing by Balneário Streets by car and made few stops, as we know very well the city, no touristic rides this time. Just catching up on the conversation.
The city continues to be amazing, with a lot of people and dogs walking on the beachfront. Looks like you need a dog to live in Balneário Camboriú. The sun was a warm and nice breeze although the Weather forecast indicates strong winds arriving.
At the end of the beach, we have now a Ferry Wheels, the new city attraction. Very beautiful especially at night and at the golden hour, when the lights are on and you can still see the beach.
A great place to see the ferry wheels and Balneario beach is on the road that leads to Itajai, the city nearby. It's located on a hill and you can see the ferry wheels and the beach down there. Beautiful view, I recommend it.
Balneário is considered the capital of Electronic music in Brasil, so if you like Emusic, as I do, this is the right place for you. Every store you enter is playing e-music and you can go to clubs and beach clubs that play a lot of electronic music strands.
You will also find a lot of great restaurants with great chefs. I always like to eat some fresh fish when visiting the beach, and this time we went for some sushi. It was great.
The city has a tour bus, where you can ride in hop-on-hop-off style. A great option to visit city attractions without car parking worries.
During the high season, December to February, the city becomes overpopulated, but worth the visit anyway. As the city is in huge growth, is becoming more often having water rationing according to my friend, so our tip is to find a nearby city, like Itajai, and visit Balneario in 20 to 30 min ride or even less depending on your location and traffic.
Besides the beach, you will find a very agitated nightlife, parks, and trails to hike. If you like trails and hiking, I recommend going to 'Morro do Careca', which has an amazing bay view from up there. Already went up there and it's worth the ride.

YACHTHOUSE
The Yachthouse building is the new sensation in Balneario Camboriu city. Know as Neymar`s building, the famous soccer player bought R$4.7 million an apartment there.
The YACHTHOUSE has 2 81-story towers that reach 275 meters in height and one of the penthouses was purchased by Neymar.
Today With R$ 8 million you can buy one.
The 257m2 apartment with four suites, a living room overlooking the sea, gourmet space, kitchen, toilet, and laundry area.
The leisure area of the building has 10 thousand square meters with:
- Bistro,
- Swimming pool and
- Wet bar,
- Yacht House
- Two helipads.
- 22 elevators (50 seconds from 1st to 78th floor)
Coffee Break
Time for a break...
After having some Sushis for lunch, we stopped at a bakery to get a double Espresso and a piece of chocolate cake. The lunch was great and also the coffee and dessert.

Brava
We went to a quick stop at Brava Mall for some groceries and wine. Brava Mall is a new shopping mall and I didn't know about it. Very elegant and modern. The region is growing up fast, the last time I went there the streets were still on the ground, with no asphalt or cobblestone.
Also, the building`s price is increasing fast according to my friend. It's not inside Balneário Camboriú city but is attached to it. Na city's name is Itajaí, a city that has the largest ship port in the region. Bringing and exporting supplies from all over the country and the world.
Brava has an amazing beach, with the same name. and location for one of the famous electronic music clubs in the world named Warung Club. A lot of famous DJs come especially over the summer to cheer up the crowd.
Driving on the roads nearby Balneario Camboriu is something that I love, you make a turn and suddenly you see the ocean, another turn and you see the green hills. It's an amazing road trip to enjoy the view.

Village
This section will show you a little bit how my friend village, as she had to work, I helped her with dog walking, two lovely female Golden Retrievers, one with 7 years, named Mel (Honey) the caramel, and 2 years puppy Lua (Moon) the white one.

I found the village very cozy, a great place to live, it has a house architecture composed of 2 floors and 1-floor houses. Very cute and peaceful place, away from avenues and rush from Balneario Downtown.
It's not a big city, but the citizens here complain about the traffic jam. For me, living in São Paulo, it's nothing compared to our traffic jams. But, after you get used to it, a red light can drive you crazy when in a rush.
The sunset, that moment that you know that I like, another walk with the dogs and we spend a few minutes enjoying the sunset.
And we had a surprise, a rainbow showed up in the sky and gift us an amazing view.
Last night
After that amazing day, city tour and sunset with a rainbow to complete an amazing day, was my last night over there, so we decided to order a pizza, cause here in Brasil we have a saying that everything ends with pizza.
The following day I got an Uber to go to my checkin in Bombinhas, further south from B.C., and I will tell you more about this place in my next post.
We had just received a warning about a Tropical Cyclone that was going to hit Santa Catarina during the night, but luckily it wasn't that strong and the next morning the weather was great to continue the journey towards the south.

Olá amigos do Hive, como vocês estão?
Quando penso em ir para um lugar lindo com belas praias, vem à minha mente o Litoral Sul do Brasil.
Temos um litoral incrível e é muito difícil escolher o melhor, mas tenho um sentimento especial por Santa Catarina.
Possui uma bela linha de costa cercada por vegetação e montanhas.
Como o inverno está chegando ao Brasil, resolvi pegar minha mochila e visitá-la antes do inverno pesado que começará no próximo mês.
Onde a jornada começa
Tudo começou quando eu estava entediado em São Paulo e comecei a procurar lugares de coworking para ficar. E resolveu conferir algumas promoções nos estados do sul e velar a baixa temporada.
Após algumas pesquisas, encontrei um lugar incrível em Bombinhas, que você conhecerá melhor no meu próximo post. Fica longe da multidão, não na alta temporada que fica super povoada e um lugar que nunca fiquei antes, apenas visitando por alguns dias ficando em cidades próximas.
Vou passar 30 dias por aqui, tirando um tempinho para relaxar, descansar, tirar fotos para postar aqui no Hive e quem sabe o que mais pode acontecer.
Como tenho alguns amigos por perto, contei a eles sobre meu plano e logo recebi algumas propostas para ficar alguns dias com eles, então vim 2 dias antes do meu check-in e aproveitei a companhia de velhos amigos.
Agende um ônibus usando a Buser e essa foi minha primeira viagem com essa empresa que muita gente fala.
O ônibus é muito novo e confortável, com wi-fi a bordo, água, café e energia para que você possa carregar seu celular ou computador.
Notei muitas pessoas com notebooks abertos e trabalhando ou talvez apenas checando memes. Lol
O ônibus chegou em Balneário Camboriú antes do previsto, ótimo, mas ficou 9 horas dirigindo. De avião, são cerca de 45 minutos para 1 em um aeroporto próximo. Como o aeroporto fica meio longe de Balneário, escolho o ônibus em vez do avião que me deixa em B.C. centro da cidade. Então, eu não preciso pegar um Uber ou táxi, ou mesmo alugar um carro.
Dos aeroportos de Navegantes ou Florianópolis você gastará muito dinheiro com transporte para Balneário. A melhor solução é alugar um carro, para que você possa visitar lugares próximos enquanto dirige pela cidade com mais conforto do que esperar por táxis disponíveis.
Balneário tem muitos táxis, então, se você não gosta de dirigir, também é uma boa pedida. O City Bus é bom, mas a frequência das viagens é baixa, então se você não tiver pressa, pode ser outra opção. Mas eu não recomendo. É uma cidade feita para carros.
Segui até a casa da minha amiga com Uber e na manhã seguinte ela me levou para um passeio pela cidade e eu pude tirar algumas fotos entre conversar e rir.

Sobre Balneário Camboriú
Localizada em Santa Catarina, conhecida como a “Dubai Brasileiro”, passará a ser conhecida como a cidade com o maior edifício residencial da América Latina, batizado de YACHTHOUSE.
A cidade, com suas colinas íngremes que descem até o mar, é popular entre os sul-americanos. A principal avenida à beira-mar é a Avenida Atlântica e seu famoso teleférico liga a praia central da cidade à praia de Laranjeiras.
Taquaras
Era uma terça-feira e minha amiga tinha que trabalhar, então caminhei pela vila dela com seus cachorros, duas lindas Goldens, uma com 7 anos, chamadas Mel (Mel) e Lua (Lua).
À tarde saímos para almoçar e fazer um passeio rápido pela cidade.
Nossa primeira parada foi na praia de Taquaras, uma ótima praia para fugir das multidões, pois fica longe do centro, geralmente um lugar mais reservado para curtir uma praia tranquila com amigos e familiares.
Depois de um tempo continuamos antes que a fome nos pegue.
Balneário Camboriú
Fizemos um city tour passando pelas Ruas do Balneário de carro e fizemos poucas paradas, pois conhecemos muito bem a cidade, sem passeios turísticos dessa vez. Só pegando a conversa.
A cidade continua incrível, com muita gente e cachorros passeando na beira da praia. Parece que você precisa de um cachorro para morar em Balneário Camboriú. O sol estava quente e uma brisa agradável, embora a previsão do tempo indique a chegada de ventos fortes.
No final da praia, temos agora um Ferry Wheels, a nova atração da cidade. Muito bonita principalmente à noite e na hora de ouro, quando as luzes estão acesas e ainda dá para ver a praia.
Um ótimo lugar para ver as rodas da balsa e a praia do balneário é na estrada que leva a Itajaí, cidade vizinha. Ele está localizado em uma colina e você pode ver as rodas da balsa e a praia lá embaixo. Linda vista, recomendo.
Balneário é considerada a capital da música eletrônica no Brasil, então se você gosta de Emusic, assim como eu, este é o lugar certo para você. Cada loja que você entra está tocando música eletrônica e você pode ir a clubes e beach clubes que tocam diversas vertentes da música eletrônica.
Você também encontrará ótimos restaurantes com ótimos chefs. Sempre gosto de comer peixe fresco quando vou à praia, e desta vez fomos comer um sushi. Foi ótimo.
A cidade tem um ônibus turístico, onde você pode andar no estilo hop-on hop-off. Uma ótima opção para visitar as atrações da cidade sem preocupações com estacionamento.
Durante a alta temporada, de dezembro a fevereiro, a cidade fica superpovoada, mas vale a visita mesmo assim. Como a cidade está em grande gowring, está cada vez mais tendo racionamento de água segundo meu amigo, então nossa dica é encontrar uma cidade próxima, como Itajaí, e visitar balneário em 20 a 30 min de passeio ou até menos dependendo da sua localização e trânsito .
Ao lado da praia, você encontrará uma vida leve muito agitada, parques e trilhas para caminhadas. Se você gosta de trilhas e caminhadas, recomendo ir ao 'Morro do Careca', que tem uma vista incrível da baía lá de cima. Já subi lá e vale a pena o passeio.
Pausa pro café
Depois de almoçarmos alguns Sushis, paramos em uma padaria para tomar um expresso duplo e um pedaço de bolo de chocolate. O almoço foi ótimo e também o café e a sobremesa.
Brava
Fizemos uma parada rápida no Brava Mall para comprar comida e vinho. O Brava Mall é um shopping novo e eu não conhecia. Muito elegante e moderno. A região está crescendo rápido, da última vez que fui lá as ruas ainda estavam no chão, sem asfalto ou paralelepípedos.
Além disso, o preço do edifício está aumentando rapidamente de acordo com meu amigo. Não fica dentro da cidade de Balneário Camboriú, mas é anexo a ela. O nome da cidade é Itajaí, cidade que possui o maior porto de navios da região. Trazendo e exportando suprimentos para todo o país e o mundo.
A Brava tem uma praia incrível, com o mesmo nome. e localização de um dos famosos clubes de música eletrônica do mundo, chamado Warung Club. Muitos Djs famosos vêm especialmente durante o verão para animar a multidão.
Dirigir nas estradas próximas a Balneário Camboriú é algo que eu amo, você faz uma curva e de repente você vê o mar, outra curva e você vê as colinas verdes. É uma viagem incrível para apreciar a vista.

Vila
Esta seção vai mostrar um pouco como minha amiga vila, como ela tinha que trabalhar, eu a ajudei com passeio de cachorro, duas lindas Golden Retrievers fêmeas, uma com 7 anos, chamada Mel (Honey) a caramelo, e a cachorrinha Lua de 2 anos (Lua) o branco.
Chegamos a tempo de ver o pôr do sol, mais um passeio com os cachorros e passar alguns minutos apreciando o pôr do sol que adoramos.
Achei essa vila muito aconchegante, tem uma arquitetura de casas composta por 2 andares e casas de 1 andar. Lugar muito fofo e tranquilo, longe das avenidas e da correria do centro de Balneário. Não é uma cidade grande, mas os cidadãos aqui reclamam do engarrafamento.
Para mim, queue vive em São Paulo, não é nada comparado aos nossos engarrafamentos. Mas, depois que você se acostumar, um semáfaro poderá deixá-lo louco quando estiver com pressa.
E tivemos uma surpresa, um arco-íris apareceu no céu e nos presenteou com uma vista incrível.
Ultima Noite
Depois daquele dia incrível, city tour e pôr do sol com arco-íris para completar um dia incrível, foi minha última noite por lá, então resolvemos pedir uma pizza, pois ja sabe né? Tudo acaba com pizza.
Tinhamos acabamos de receber um alerta sobre um Ciclone Tropical que ia atingir Santa Catarina durante a noite, mas felizmente não estava tão forte e na manhã seguinte o tempo estava ótimo para continuar a viagem em direção ao sul.
Na manhã seguinte peguei um Uber para ir ao meu checkin em Bombinhas, mais ao sul de B.C. e vou contar mais sobre este lugar no meu próximo post.

It´s always a bit of a risk eating pizza in other countries I think. At least to me as you can be quite positively or negatively surprised :-)
You are totally correct. I think 2 flavors pizza has only here in Brazil.
The pizza was very good, with crunchy dough, and tasty better than I was expecting. The presentation could be better, but pizza is always good 😊
I'm from São Paulo, and has amazing pizzas, some people say is the best in the world, but i cant say it cause didn't taste pizza from all places.
I think only Brazil has it. Lol
