A few days ago, with my friends, we climbed peak Ispolin with our bicycles.

We started from the Uzana area - which is the widest meadow in the Balkan Mountains. Here is the Geographical Center of Bulgaria, which was measured in 1991.

Nature here is highly preserved. Rare flora and fauna are found here, a large part of which is protected in the Red Book of Bulgaria.

We passed through Uzana hut, which is located at an altitude of 1240 meters. The hut is open all year round and offers opportunities for walking and mountain tourism, and in winter - for skiing.

We passed through other tourist huts and hotels. In the area are also located hut "Ispolin", "Forest House", tourist dormitory "Uzana".

We crossed a beautiful century-old beech forest.

At the foot of the peak there is a small shelter and a wooden platform with benches for observation.

We saw beautiful wild orchids.

Before climbing the top we crossed a wide meadow where a herd of cows was grazing.

From the top of Ispolin there is a wide panoramic view of the beautiful mountains and flat meadows. The high Stara Planina ridge and the monument on Shipka peak are observed. The Kazanlak valley and the Fore-Balkans are also revealed. From the top you can see both the town of Gabrovo and the town of Shipka.

Ispolin Peak is the peak of Shipchenska Stara Planina. It is 1524 meters high. Its old name is Mount Korudja and is located in the western part of the Shipka part of the Central Stara Planina.

At the peak Ispolin there is a portrait of Vasil Levski. Vasil Levski is a Bulgarian national hero. He is also known as the Apostle of Freedom, for organizing and developing a revolutionary network for the liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule.

Near the peak Ispolin is peak Chifut - which is 1442 m high.

We went back to the wide meadow of Uzana where at the same time Uzana Polyana Fest was held. Uzana Polyana Fest is an ecological festival for people and for nature.

We cycled in the area until dark amidst the scent of herbs, flowers and the magnificent views of the Balkans.

Thank you for stopping by!
