When walking through the streets of Central Jakarta, I never thought that I would find the Antara news agency. Previously, I could only read their news online. As for the printed magazine, I never had the chance to read it because it contained heavy things like politics. Of course, I only read it online briefly because online news has very annoying ads. So, when I found out that the Antara news agency also has a photo gallery for the general public, of course I wouldn't miss it. Come with me...
The Antara News Agency has two floors. The first floor or ground floor is used for exhibitions or photo galleries. While on the second floor is where employees work. The second floor is closed to non-employees, so when visiting it, only the ground floor is allowed.
Let's take a look at the photos in the Antara News Agency Gallery.

Through these photos, of course, I was invited to see the construction of bridges and roads in several provinces in Sumatra. The photos were taken from a distance and have a point of view that can speak. The photos show how beautiful the Sunda Strait is that bridges the islands of Sumatra and Java.

Meanwhile, in this section, no different from the previous photos, on this wall, the construction of access to villages in Indonesia is also displayed.

Let's moving forward to the next room, this room is also used for seminars and other events. You can see there are many chairs stacked up.
In this photo, I was invited to flashback to the dark times a few years ago. The top photo is a photo of the atmosphere in Jakarta—especially the Senayan Roundabout—when the Covid-19 pandemic began to hit the country. The streets were completely empty because the government implemented a lockdown. It does look beautiful, but the story behind the quiet streets that are usually bustling is truly dark.
Meanwhile, the bottom left photo explains that vaccines have saved many people's lives. Continuing to the photo next to it, it is a photo of health workers who are exhausted from handling Covid patients whose numbers are starting to become unconducive every day. Meanwhile, the rightmost one is the saddest, where health workers are forced to carry out examinations outside due to limited hospital space.
Meanwhile, on another wall in this gallery, there are also photos of Indonesia's achievements from several years ago. There are so many that I seem to have forgotten what events they were. The one I remember most is probably the Formula 1 match at the Mandalika circuit.
Although the photo collection in the Antara News Agency Gallery is relatively small, I can still enjoy the work of the photographer. It is really very good. I rarely find a photo gallery that is open to the public like this, maybe if I find it again, I will share it with you. What do you think?
