Ligüerre de Cinca: Pueblo Abandonado Restaurado
Hello everybody! Today it's time to talk about a special place for me, the village of Ligüerre de Cinca (Spain). In this village I lived my first year of life, my parents came to this village about 40 years ago, an abandoned village where there was no running water or electricity. Nobody lived there and they decided to live there to revive it, they managed to bring water to the village and to fix some houses to be able to live in this beautiful place.
¡Buenas a todos! Hoy toca hablar de un lugar especial para mi, el pueblo de Ligüerre de Cinca(España). En este pueblo viví mi primer año de vida, mis padres llegaron a este pueblo hace unos 40 años, un pueblo abandonado donde no existía el agua corriente o la electricidad. No vivía nadie y ellos se animaron a vivir en el para revivirlo, consiguieron que el agua llegase a el y arreglar alguna casa para poder hacer vida en este precioso lugar.
This village was depopulated by the construction of the reservoir of El Grado, after my parents wanted to turn it into a nice place to live, a company decided to acquire it as a resort, the whole village is a hotel where the rooms are distributed among the houses, and where you can celebrate different events such as weddings.
Este pueblo fue despoblado por la construcción del embalse de El Grado, después de que mis padres quisieran convertirlo en un bonito lugar para vivir, una empresa decidió adquirirlo como un resort, el pueblo entero es un hotel donde las habitaciones se reparten por las casas de el, y donde se pueden celebrar distintos eventos como bodas.
At the entrance to the village, a large glass hall has been built where banquets can be held. It is modern in appearance but I think it does not fit in with the aesthetics of the place, although it is beautiful.
A la entrada del pueblo se ha construido un gran salón acristalado donde se pueden celebrar los banquetes, es de aspecto moderno pero creo que no pega con la estética del lugar aunque sea bonito.
Next to this modern building is a charming little chapel which has also been restored and welcomes us to this beautiful village.
Junto a este moderno edificio se encuentra una pequeña ermita con su encanto la cual también fue restaurada y nos da la bienvenida a este bonito pueblo.
This old fountain is also very close to the hermitage, and next to it there is a sign explaining a little about life around the water in the region.
También se encuentra muy cerquita de la ermita esta antigua fuente, y al lado un cartel donde nos explica un poco la vida entorno al agua de la región.
Little by little, as we go deeper into the village, we reach the church, next to which was the cemetery that was removed. There is another small sign explaining the history and what happened to the old cemetery.
Poco a poco adentrándonos en el pueblo llegamos hasta la iglesia, junto a ella estaba el cementerio que fue eliminado de allí. Hay otro pequeño cartel donde nos explica un poco la historia y lo que pasó con el antiguo cementerio.
As we walk through the village, the different houses also have signs with photos of before and after the restoration along with a little story about them and their name. I love the look of the houses in the Aragonese Pyrenees, where stone adorns the streets.
Mientras avanzamos por el pueblo las distintas casas también tienen carteles donde se ven fotos del antes y del después de la restauración junto con una pequeña historia sobre ellas y su nombre. Me encanta el aspecto de las casas del pirineo aragonés, donde la piedra adorna las calles.
This house is the Nau house which is where I lived with my parents, it has nothing to do with what it was, neither have the streets which were dirt roads, now concrete and stone replace the earth.
Esta casa es la casa Nau que es donde viví junto a mis padres, no tiene nada que ver con lo que era, tampoco las calles que eran caminos de tierra, ahora el hormigón y la piedra sustituyen a la tierra.
We arrive at the village square where Ramon's house is located and where you can also see the before and after.
Llegamos a la plaza del pueblo donde esta la casa Ramon donde también se ve el antes y el después.
From the square there is a viewpoint where we can see the swamp and the mountains, it is a pity that the water level is low but the colour of the water is super nice, imagine this landscape full of water and the snowy mountains, it must be really beautiful, I am in love with this quiet place.
Desde la plaza hay un mirador donde podemos ver el pantano y las montañas, lastima que el nivel del agua sea bajo pero el color del agua es super bonito, imaginaros este paisaje lleno de agua y las montañas nevadas, realmente debe ser precioso, estoy enamorado de este tranquilo lugar.
We continue strolling through its streets which we are falling more in love with, they are very quiet as this town is used more for the summer season so there is no one to disturb us on our walk.
Seguimos paseando por sus calles las cual nos van enamorando más, están muy tranquilas ya que este pueblo se usa mas para la temporada de verano así que no hay nadie que nos pueda molestar en nuestro paseo.
