On my many Africa Safari Tours there was always excitement in running across another new species of wild animal but in the back of my mind I always wanted to meet the Africa tribal people that live in these vases plains and that was made possible by our tourist guides on this particular day and this I was looking forward to meeting the colorful Maasai Tribes of Southern Kenya.

I found these Maasai Tribes of Southern Kenya very warm hearted, friendly and willing to learn and know about our western culture but there culture is less complicated and less stressful then ours they simply live in small communities caring and helping each other it's all team work.

What makes the Maasai Tribe distinctive from other tribes is there brand of clothing been mainly bright reds and they are all basically all very tall with an elegant posture and are deeply connected to there land and cattle as this is there main source of food, milk and income.

These Maasai Tribes live in circular villages as small communities the village is protected by thorn bush fences to keep predators like Lions on the the other side of the fence all built by the tribual women including there homes using mud, sticks and cow dung not a hut I would want to sleep in.

The Maasai Tribes till today despite the encouragements of the modern world still hold on strongly to their traditions. They still bring on the colorful ceremonies for their celebrations of marriages and birth doing there famous jumping dances showing there unity and strength in their heritage.

Everyone is to there own world and I respect that, it was real experience seeing that many Maasais still live traditionally respecting their cultural values a symbol of pride to there ancestors.
