Today was one of those quiet and slow days. Me and my partner decided to go out again and revisit some places here in Bantayan which we already visited last month when we were still tourists. It feels funny how different the experience is now. Before, we used to roam around these places with excitement and curiosity because everything felt temporary and magical. But now that we are staying here as residents, the island feels more personal and realistic. The beaches, roads, stores, and people are slowly becoming part of our daily life instead of just destinations for vacation pictures and short happy moments.

We spent most of our afternoon visiting beaches and relaxing corners of the island. The sea was calm today and the wind was so comforting despite the heat of the afternoon sun. We passed by the famous The Ruins again and it still amazes me how simple and beautiful the place looks in actual. The old structure standing beside the sea gives us a nostalgic atmosphere, especially when we remember the time we went there with excitement. Many tourists were taking pictures around the area while others were just quietly appreciating the view and fresh air of the island. Earlier, I really realized that Bantayan doesn't need attractions, although it has already become one, to become beautiful because the simplicity of the island is already enough to make people stay and be contented.

We also visited Blue House by the Cliff where the view of the ocean looked breathtaking this afternoon. The color of the water was very vibrant and clear, perfectly matching the blue sky above us. Standing near the cliff while hearing the sound of strong waves made me appreciate how peaceful life can be away from the noise of the city. There is something calming about Bantayan Island that tells us how to righteously pause, slow down, and enjoy simple moments. We also went to some beaches nearby where we swam for a while just to ease the boredom of waiting for work deployment. The water was cold and relaxing, enough to somehow remove the stress and uncertainty I currently feel these past few days. As well as my disappointment for not starting still in work.

We went home after our other revisit to a beach in Sta. Fe. It really doesn't have a name but it is near Starblack Cafe where many cafes and restaurants are installed. Many pumpboats dominated the shore and I can see the silhouette of Negros Island from the beach. It was really a kind day for me despite not being fortunate. I hope tomorrow will bring me a luck. So as to yours. Thank you for reading!
