Before mentioning about the tour of this place, you should know that the Zooaquarium is located in the city of Valencia, Carabobo state - Venezuela, and previously these facilities were the first aqueduct of the city, until 1975 when it was founded as Zooacuarium, as an initiative of Dr. Juan Vicente Seijas, who had the idea of creating a space that would serve as a reserve for many captive aniamals in the country.
Therefore, it is necessary to say that this facility is not a private zoo, but it works as a public institution, which aims to rescue many animals among various species, which are in captivity or that somehow were mistreated or victims of indiscriminate hunting in different regions of Venezuela.
Antes de mencionar sobre eo recorrido de este lugar, debenos saber que el Zooaquarium se encuentra en la ciudad de Valencia, estado Carabobo - Venezuela, y anteriormente estas instalaciones, era el primer acueducto de la ciudad, hasta que en 1975 se fundó como Zooacuarium, como iniciativa del Dr. Juan Vicente Seijas, quien tendría la idea de crear un espacio que sirviera como reserva a muchos aniamales en cautiverio del país.
Por lo cual, es necesario decir que estas instalaciones no se trata de un zoológico privado, sino que funciona como una institución pública, que tiene como fin rescatar a muchos animales entre varias especies, que se encuentran en condición de cautiverio o que alguna forma fueron maltratadas o víctimas de la caza indiscriminada en difernetes regiones de Venezuela.
Just as we see in one of the photographs, this Zooacuarium, which is so called because it is home to a zoo and aquarium, the latter point I will show you in the next post, so we will only focus on the zoo, which have their doors open to the public, Tuesday through Sunday, within the hours of 9 am to 4 pm, and the entrance of the enclosure has a cost of $ 1 per person.
In this Zooacuarium, they are divided into several facilities, where they are divided among various species of animals, so that there is a better harmony between species. First of all, when you enter the zoo, you can witness a space called contact farm, where we can see more docile or domestic animals, where children can touch them and know them in more detail, and you can find horses, goats, pigs, ostriches, rabbits and other animals.
Así como vemos en unas de las fotografías, este Zooacuarium, que se llama así por ser sede de un zoológico y aquarium, este último punto que los mostraré en los próximos post, por lo que sólo nos enfocaremos en el zoológico, que tienen sus puertas abiertas para todo el público, de martes a domingo, dentro del horario de 9 am a 4 pm, y la entrada del recinto tiene un costo de 1 $ por persona.
En dicho Zooacuarium, se dividen en varias instalaciones, donde se dividen entre varias especies de animales, de manera que exista una mejor armonía entre especies. En primer lugar cuando se entra al zoológico, se puede presenciar un espacio que se llama como granja de contacto, donde podemos apreciar animales más dóciles o domésticos, donde los niños pueden tocarlos y conocerlos con más detalle, y se puede encontrar caballos, chivos, cerdos, avestruz, conejos y entre otros animales.
Then a few meters away, we find a large cage, which is basically an aviary, where you can find a large number of species of birds, but also shares space with species such as deer, which have been rescued for some reason, and can live perfectly with the birds, without any consequence.
Luego a pocos metros, encontramos una gran jaula, que básicamente se trata de un aviario, donde se puede encontrar una gran cantidad de especies de aves, pero que también comparte espacios con especies como venados, que han sido rescatados por alguna razón, y pueden convivir perfectamente con las aves, sin tener alguna consecuencia alguna.
Further on, after passing the aviary you will access some stairs where you will go down to other compartments of the zoo, where you can see other species such as pumas, jaguars, crocodiles and even larger and more predatory birds such as the harpy eagle, which is a very symbolic bird for the country and for all America. You can also find several types of monkey species, such as spider monkeys and capuchins, which are undoubtedly very restless but beautiful species, as well as great birds like the toucan, or aninimals such as the porcupine and even a raccoon.
Más adelante, luego de pasar el aviario se accede a unas escaleras donde se bajará a otros compartimientos del zoológico, donde se puede apreciar otras especies como pumas, jaguares, cocodrilos e incluso aves más grandes y depredadoras como la águila harpía, que es una ave muy simbólica para el país y para toda América. También se pueden encontrar varios tipos de especies de monos, como monos arañas y capuchinos, que sin duda son especies muy intranquilos pero hermosos, asi coml también se puede ver grandiosas aves como el tucan, o animales como el puercoespín y hasta un mapache.
Of course, many of these animals, you can see a little sadness, being confined in these small spaces between cages, but in fact the purpose of this zoo is to preserve the existence of many of these species, which somehow were rescued from imminent danger, but then some of these species are trying to release to their natural habitat, although it costs them a lot to have that adaptation, so they must remain in captivity.
Por supuesto, mucho de estos animales, se le nota un poco de tristeza, por estar confinados en esos reducidos espacios entre jaulas, pero en realidad el objetivo de este zoológico es poder preservar la existencia de muchos de estas especies, que de alguna manera fueron rescatados ante un peligro inminente, aunque luego algubos de esas especies se tratan de liberar a su hábitat natural, aunque mucho les cuesta tener esa adaptación, por lo cual deben seguir estando en cautiverio.

I'm glad this zooaquarium in Valencia has been recovered, I have very good memories as a child when I visited it and as an adult when I rehearsed at Vintage, the music studio right across the street. Excellent post @wilfredocav a luxury 👌🏻
